Ideal place to stay near airports
Michael Kon 20/11/2017 10:53We chose this property as we arrived in Joburg too late to pick up the hire car and drive to Kruger Park. We needed a place to stay for one night which was convenient for the airport for the car pick up the following morning. The Emerald turned out to be ideal. The airport shuttle bus runs on the hour from 9am til late, picks up outside the hotel reception and drops off a short walk from the car hire desks at the airport.
The Guest House manageress was very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good and all in all we feel we received excellent value for money and would definitely stay here again.

farooqh202on 19/11/2017 16:40We were 5, and a night stop over just to catch an early morning flight, so basically we were there for 6-8 hrs, price and location for that cause was good, but then thats it. As they are suppose to be B&B for this purpose so they should be giving the service for airport drop off which they do the whole day but for the early morning flights, so we had to pay alot and get there.

2) urine in the toilet seat
3) fungí in the bathroom
4) dirty linen
5) no air con, no fan, no tv control, no telephone to call front desk
6) full of mosquitoes in the room

Free shuttle service to the airport which was helpful.
I ended up staying here 1 week after my gf stayed at the location which she recommended, I did pay R250 more than her, which was a little frustrating, and I also received no breakfast, but all in all, very comfy stay for a night.. will recommend

ridwan2017on 16/11/2017 05:13My wife went into the reception area because thats where u order anything if need be,anyway my wife ordered breakfast between 10-10:30.this only white woman tells my wife that... i quote"You slept through breakfast and now you making it our problem.NO you must wait till lunch time.I have addressed her by her race because I don't know her name and she is the only white woman working in reception area needless 2 say this happened in front of a driver by the name Shadreck who witnessed it.anyway we booked out immediately.this occurred on day3,we on a 3 week holiday.How can you have an attitude like that and work in hospitality?The night shift staff were excellent and so we're everyone else except this 1 woman.
