It is an interesting hotel because there is really perfect sides as well as bad sides.
The perfect Sides
Very nice open buffet breakfast with rich choices.Service of waiters very good.
Spa again prefect with a nice swimming pool.Massage was very good.Sauna ,steam room,especially the changing room was prefect.
The bedrooms design and luxury very good with plenty of wardrobes.
The roof swimming pool was closed because of the season which was a bit unfair as the water during the day was sunny with 21c .But I guess people go to city sightseeing during the day and night time it is a bit chilly as we are in November.
The downsides were if you are staying lower floors to much noise from the street.Also from the rooms you can hear the noises in the corridors.Sound insulation is not good.
Price is more reasonable than other 5 stars in Lisbon.
I will recommend this hotel.
The location was ok.It is 25 minutes to the airport and 10 minutes to the old down by car.

Couples break in Lisbon, mid November.
This is a very modern and spacious hotel and our room was large, clean and modern. Would stay here again for a city break, but this is more of a business hotel. Overall it was a pleasurable stay!

Close to Amoreiras shopping centre which has a great food court, good shopping and a 360 rooftop viewing experience of Lisbon which is worth doing if you stay at this hotel!

There was an issue in our room so we called down to get it repaired and we had to contact reception 3 times before it was finally fixed several hours later.
The rooftop pool was closed, We didnt realise it was only open in some seasons, it was lovely weather so this was a real shame.
When we arrived our suitcase was not taken to our room, We had to come back down to remind them.

I stayed in the SANA a few days in late August and early Sept, 2017. In short, it wasn't a horrible experience, more of an average one with a hefty pricetag given the location and service offerings. A few aspects of it stressed me out, which is why I've deducted stars.
The first thing to mention about this hotel is the size - it's large. This isn't a bad thing in and of itself, but the services and infrastructure don't scale to match the sheer number of guests. I experienced the following consequences:
- the roof pool is tiny, and the space around the pool has a finite number of chairs and lounge chairs on which to sit. As a result, if you wish to use it, you have to go up there and add yourself to a paper waiting list. A stressed and unhappy woman staffmember there will take your name and room number, and remind you that it'll be a long time. How long? She'll never be able to give you an estimate. 1 hr, 3? she can't reply. Ever. This was a daily occurrence.
- The same pool suffers from a towel shortage, which also has a waiting list. It suffers from a timelessness, too. Both the pool and the towels are hogged by guests who sit there for hours, smoking and drinking as it if were a British pub. Despite the 5 star aspect of this hotel, many of the guests hail from the 'Easyjet-type' budget vacation seeking behaviors and rudeness one likes to avoid on vacation.
- I had a room on the first floor, and I asked for a room on another floor just to get away from the noise and to have a sunnier/nicer view. This was, yes, no, maybe, I'll see affair with several front desk staff members, come back later and so on. I was as polite and charming as I could be, and it seemed the nicer I was, the more 'maybe' they would be. In the end I got nothing.
- The front desk staff, when asking any question about anything, whether it's how early I should be at the airport, where I should visit first, or any other question, was a stomach-turning sort of awkward experience.
- my noise was NOT quiet, I could hear closet door slamming and even music from adjacent rooms. That's not a 5 star experience. Sometimes it was the guests, and sometimes the cleaning staff early in the morning. Shame.
I speak three languages, I've lived in several countries in three continents, and I'm a fairly culturally open person, but I have to say the Portuguese in Lisbon were some of the most depressive and indifferent service people I have ever seen. I found it quite shocking, because in Porto they were absolutely charming and friendly, even if taciturn. My theory is that their work lives in hotels like Epic SANA must be absolutely miserable, and they have trouble hiding that from the staff.
I paid a huge monetary price for wasting a few days in this hotel, whose only redeeming quality was the excellent location.
Stay in another hotel, for sure, just avoid Baixa (a different, touristy neighborhood than where this hotel was, FYI).
If you DO stay in this hotel, a) do not do it for the pool which you will be frustrated to use b) consider it a business hotel, which would temper your expectations, c) expect it to be more like a 3.5 star hotel.

Hotel located close to Underground station Marques the Pompal and shopping mall Amoreiras A modern hotel.Parking for cars available at a cost.
Due to location on a dual carriage way if driving to hotel or the taxi route needs to be planned with approach in mind.
Very friendly and efficient staff.
Good variety at breakfast buffet in the morning..

The spa was absolutely beautiful! The hotel allows guest to utilize the spa any time during hours of operation. The disappointment is they have certain dress code rules for their restaurant upstairs. You are required to wear shoes, no flip flops which was very inconvenient since we packed lightly. I was asked to remove my hat at breakfast.
