Stay away!!!!!!!!

This place is horrible! So bad that we could not stay the 2 nights we booked! The room was filthy, stains on the comforter, pubic hairs on the sheets, black mold in the shower and the kitchenette is a small fridge sitting on the bathroom counter with a microwave sitting on top of it. We were so discussed that we just left without saying anything because we knew they couldn't fix what was wrong. So we wasted over $300 for 2 nights. Gross Gross Gross.
I thought it was great

We needed to get away right now, immediately, due to a family crisis. Did not book ahead.
Wanted Cayucus because we needed some sand and surf time to come to grips with the crisis.
Every place was full or sky high....$500+ per night should include dancing girls and cabana boys, prime rib and lobster tail.
Estero was priced right around $60/night for 3 adults, one child.
Our room was clean--- the beds were clean, under the bed was clean, the bathroom was spotless. The little kitchenette was clearly an afterthought. We had plenty of towels and while clean, they weren't big fluffy spa towels.
The location was terrific.....a block from the sand, close to a bakery and restaraunts.
I've probably spent the last year traveling about 36,000 miles and have spent a lot of time in hotel rooms on three continets. Estero Bay Motel is not fancy. We didn't go to Cayucus to be inside. We spent most of our time outside, on the beach. We wanted a quiet, clean place to sleep and this filled the bill.
Don't bother. Go to the next town if you have to! Hugely overpriced.

We got stuck because it was the weekend, and we hadn't booked ahead, and all the other places in this lovely town were full.
So we were stuck here. Our own stupid fault I guess. All the reviews you rad are true.
$178 and our own personal experience was the shower tap coming off in my hand leaving hot water spraying out of the wall!
Avoid.
Slum dog meets location central

The location is fantastic but for the fact the place is run like a tenement in Mumbai. The price is right if you like threadbare towels, slovenly housekeeping inside and out and the haunting suspicion they wash the sheets and pillow cases every two weeks whether they need them or not. Continental breakfast is a gallon jug of milk set out with two huge dispensers of Raisin Bran or Corn Flakes with unknown expiration dates. The plastic wrapped muffins are about the safest thing to touch in the place. Our sink immediately backed up when we were getting ready for bed the first night so I hopped in the shower. In the light of the next day I peeked into the stall.... yeah. If this is the last motel available... stay in your car.
OMG!

Don't stay hear folks? You're better off sleeping on a park bench. TV didn't work. The lamp on the nightstand didn't work. The refrigerator didn't work. The shower was filthy. Mold and mildew on the ceiling of it. The grout was solid black with grime in some areas. We stayed 2 nights and requested that there be no maid service after the 1st day. We returned to find maids in our room anyway. They didn't clean anything. We're pretty sure that they were gonna steal some our belongings. Good thing we arrived when we did!
