alexandra non 27/10/2016 15:26this was a nice place to stay. fairly central. service was fine. breakfast was fine. rooms were fine. nothing really wrong, but nothing really stellar. stayed here as part of walk on via francigena...booked through a company, so not really sure re costs
Such helpful staff
AlanBurneron 25/09/2016 22:05Six of us stayed here for two nights on our walk on the Via Francigena. Very comfortable and welcoming. Excellent breakfast, although the restaurant was closed for dinners. But the hotel owns the pizza restaurant next door; and we had an excellent pizza dinner there one night. Good WIFI - and free. Bedrooms were large and clean.
We were very touched by the helpfulness of the manager and one of his assistants. We had booked for the second evening at a restaurant on the outskirts of Verres and could not find a taxi, as it was Sunday. The Manager and his assistant drove us there in two cars and picked us up again at the end of our meal - and would take no payment for this This was so kind.
Good value
travellersalwayson 19/07/2016 17:31Stayed overnight travelling from central Italy back to the UK. Very convenient location as just off the motorway. Hotel apparently is now under new management - some renovations are already being done (new security system for the underground garage was underway) and probably I think they will refurbish. The rooms are a fair size, with everything you need, but could do with some modernization. Very pleasant large gardens with fountain/statues/ornamental pool, seating areas and a sun terrace, Breakfast was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside was the fact that the restaurant was only open for breakfast - apparently at present they open it only for large groups. This was offset by the fact that the owners also own the restaurant (Pako's) 100 m away (see separate review) where a discount is offered.
Cheap ski break
juliet son 21/04/2016 23:49Very well located for Turin Airport (45 minutes), Cervinia (45 minutes) and Champoluc (30 minutes) and a good base for a cheap ski weekend. The hotel is basic and no-frills but very comfortable, with good buffet breakfast, friendly (non-English speaking) staff, and reliable free wifi. Excellent value for money and much cheaper than staying in the resorts and giving easy access to all the Aosta valley ski areas. A number of excellent good value local restaurants in Verres. Recommended.
