Very clean and pleasant hotel, internet struggled to work in the early evening- which is not good as the "business" hotel?!? Meant after a days travelling couldn't do emails. But as it was a hot day, we went out for food and beers and swiftly forgot about business!
Staff were friendly and pleasant- no complaints there.
Breakfast was again OK-

Nice room, big enough for a double bed. There is a small desk in the room. The bath room is quite big and in good condition. The door to the balcony is not very good quality, the air goes through...
It is clean. The wardrobe is big enough. Only thing missing would be a water heater. The breakfast is good however not too much choices. The staff was nice and professional, very serious people. A good place to stay.

After multiple visits in the hotel I have been considering as a nice one I receive a smelling like s**t smoking room with explanation that I have not marked that I don't want to have a smoking room.
Is it not pure fun?

This hotel is located in the city of Sao Joao da Madeira. The Portuguese capital for Hats and shoes. I recommend to visit the museum of capeleiria (not sure about the orthography). Hotel is 30mn far away Espinho (sea side) and 40mn of Porto.
Hotel is good and comfortable. It's equipped with a pool. Breakfast is also good.
Nice for business trip.

people are leaving this hotel in droves as the coffee is so dreadful.
And when I arrived there was no black tea, sold out
last time I stayed there the banana in the fruit bowl was black and split and was ther for the entire 4 days I stayed here.
breakfast is not very good, the scrambled eggs are stiff and a bit brown, the bacon is fatty and there is no tomato or cucumber for breakfast
The rooms smell of burnt rubber.
it used to be called the WR hotel but has been bought and sold I don't know how many times.
the rooms are clean, that is the best I can say
the only thing going for it is the location
even the chef has left to start up his own place.
