lerlerrunson 20/11/2017 16:19Hotel itself is very clean. The room is spacious and very comfortable. The room gives off a “homey” feeling.
The receptionists (Kim and April) were very kind and helpful. Check in and check out was quick.
Grab and go breakfast/coffee offered before 930am. It is a good place if you’re looking for something simple with great service!!
Clean, comfortable, convenient shuttle to Mayo Clinic
TheMayor124on 18/11/2017 21:42Room was large, clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, poor excuse for a breakfast with only coffee, breakfast bars and instant oatmeal. No pool or hot tub. Ten minute free shuttle to Mayo Clinic was a plus. Front desk staff was never around, hiding back in the office with the door closed most of the time.
Not what I expected.
FirstMateMarquetteon 04/11/2017 13:48We were there for 25 nights and had maid service ONCE! I don’t mind going to the front desk for towels, but to not have the sheets changed and the carpeting vacuumed was not acceptable. Front desk personnel were great, but seemed overwhelmed at times. When I inquired about getting maid service, I was told our room was put on the list, but it never happened. Also, I battled “drain gnats” the whole time we were there. I closed the drains and covered the kitchen one and finally killed the last gnat the day before we left. This was our first experience with Extended Stay, but probably our last. On a positive note, it is a easy drive to the Mayo Clinic and near to a Super Target.
Decent Place for the Low Price
dmmale1on 23/10/2017 23:26For the low price this was a good deal. You get what you pay for, so don't expect it to be a top-tier hotel, but the room I was in was mostly clean (the bathroom had some hairs and dirt), and was mostly quiet. Bed was okay. TV only has 21 channels, which is way too few--they seriously need to get many more. "Breakfast" is just the typical fruit granola bars bought at WalMart. And of course there are no items in the room to use, you have to ask the desk. That's very frustrating to pay for an extended stay place with no utensils or dishes in the room, not even a hair dryer. Would suggest you get there early--front desk told me they were already full by mid-afternoon and were going to not be able to give some people requested rooms. Said it was non-smoking but could smell smoke.
Basic, adequate, the price was right.
eejoneson 06/10/2017 04:03The place was clean and well maintained. April checked in and she was efficient. My husband remarked that the bed was comfortable (we are used to a firmer mattress). I paid a great price through Priceline (I booked the hotel without knowing which one it was). So it was a good value for me.
Note that this is an extended stay place, not a hotel, and since you get a kitchen, you don't get some other amenities you might be used to. There is no ice machine. No business center (no computer, no printer) (but there is free WiFi). No water glasses in your room. No in-room coffee. Free breakfast is a table set up in the lobby with two Keurig machines (coffee) and some pre-packaged breakfast bars and muffins, but no dining area. There is a laundry room. I'm sure they would provide dishes and pots for the kitchen if I asked.
Note to corporate management: Even though this is an extended stay hotel, you should have an ice machine on the premises and glasses in the room. This omission feels very unwelcoming. I understand cutting costs, but this goes too far. I won't stay here again.
