Beware... 2 rooms not clean after previous guests, noisy, and grab and go breakfast only.

We chose this hotel as it listed breakfast and was close to where we needed to be. The breakfast items would fit on a TV tray. It is grab and go, not a true breakfast. We could have lived with that, but we checked in at night, and had two rooms: One had the kitchen garbage can so full, it was heaped above the top. (Still is). We were given hard plastic glasses (not in wrapper) that appeared to not be washed, and had food or some sludge on them, Had to ask for coffee pot at front desk (not too big a deal). No ice machine. (They said to use an ice tray, and freezer which wouldn't have helped that night). The other one of the double bed rooms had only bottom sheets on the beds and no blankets. All bedding was piled up on table in a wad, and not clear if it was dirty or not. Room had not been made up. They did not have any other double bed rooms, so the two adults in that room had to move to another room and share one bed. The other room had spilled food stuck to the comforter about the size of a quarter. Sheets looked clean though. Toilet was not cleaned. Someone was cleaning a room at 11pm, and made some comments to another guest, so it appeared that the day staff was not doing their job. There is no shampoo in rooms, just small bar of soap. The place was pretty gross in general, even for the low price. Someone said it is quiet. It is next to the freeway, and you can hear the traffic. You can hear people talking in rooms next door, and floors are thin so you can hear the people walking around in the room above. The night staff seemed pretty friendly though, and accommodating, but not very surprised or apologetic about the condition of the rooms.
Location to Tacoma Dome

We were in town for the Garth Brooks concert at The Tacoma Dome. Very reasonable rates for location that weekend. Uber handy to Emerald Queen Casino and around 10 minutes to get to The Dome. Full size fridge with freezer, cooktop and microwave in mini kitchen made it handy for quick snacks and keeping leftovers from eating out.

I'm not familiar with Fife but I needed to be here for work. I loved my room! There's a nice kitchenette and comfy bed. There is plenty of room for extra clothes. It's quiet. There are nearby good food options. I will definitely stay here again if I'm back for work.
Mediocre Crash Pad

At the risk of sounding like an elitist I'll say that very few people would be under the illusion that this hotel is even remotely luxurious. It is very much a budget hotel but it still has an important role in the lodging industry, for example like if you need a cheap place to crash while in the greater Seattle-Tacoma area or, as was the case for me, you have an early flight from SEATAC and want to position yourself nearby.
My room was sizable and had a largely functional kitchen but it also had a strong odor of cigarettes, which is interesting because I'm not sure if smoking is permitted in the rooms. In any case, for $80/night it's not terrible place to have a hot shower and sleep in a reasonably comfortable bed. I did not tour the area from this hotel so I cannot comment on its proximity to tourist sites, but I know it's not especially close to downtown Tacoma and it's definitely not close to downtown Seattle.
Reasonable for tacoma/seattle area

We stayed here for an 11-night stay. Main reason I booked this hotel was because it had a full-size kitchen, which was great for doing some meals there and not eating out for every meal. The other main reason I booked this place was because on booking.com it advertised 'breakfast included.' Boy, was this a disappointment. 'Breakfast' was a 'grab and go' as they called it. Coffee, tea, oatmeal, granola bars, and muffins...pretty much it. I don't call coffee and a granola bar 'breakfast.' On website, it said for stays over 7 nights, maid service would be only one time. I thought this really odd at first but, later, rather liked that because room attendants weren't in room every day. Whenever you needed more towels you just took your used ones down to front desk and they immediately gave you new ones. Worked out rather well, actually. They had a laundry room and we did laundry one evening. Reasonably priced and very handy. Room was comfortable but bathroom was VERY small. Could hardly clear the bathroom door of the toilet. Counter was big enough, tho. I needed a hair dryer and, again, you could go down to front desk to get one. The biggest asset of this hotel was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The two we dealt with most were Olivia and Michelle--they were just awesome!! Hotel was right off of I-5 which was very handy (altho traffic is a nightmare on I-5).
