I wasn't wowed but was thoroughly satisfied. Great location with very comfortable arrangements. While not the newest hotel or remodel, it isn't distracting. Very maintained and nice accommodations. I'd certainly stay again.

Clean nicely decorated large room - bed/pillows comfy, free wi-fi. Nice public areas (and great spa water in the lobby!). Staff was super friendly and helpful including the airport shuttle drivers - they went above to get me to the airport on time - thank you!
Only cons - pool area was huge but pool really small. Limited dining options on site - 1 small bar/restaurant with limited dinner menu - when you can't leave the hotel because you're working, 1 more option would have been nice. Breakfast buffet was very good.
Would definitely stay here again!

Across from airport but rooms are quiet. All-valet and parking fee is quite high, I think $28. The junior suites are very nice and spacious with excellent large bathrooms. The standard rooms can be small and unimpressive. The pool area is nice, but the hot tub is overly exposed; would be better to have plants or some kind of pergula around it. The pool is heated. The customer service, especially front desk, is excellent.

Stayed here in May 2017 for a company meeting. I arrived late in the evening and it was fairly quiet when I got there. The evening staff were very nice and accommodating. I received a corner room, King Bed which was nice since it had windows on 2 sides. The furnishings were a little old, but not too rough looking. The bed was nice and comfortable. The sleeping area seemed a little cramped but the windows and hallway of the corner room sure helped. It was an awkward layout to get to the doorway, closet and bathroom at the end of the hallway but it made for a feeling of more privacy so it didn't bother me at all. Spacious closet and bathroom area. The only issue I had was the shower wasn't draining well and it filled up quickly. I was worried it would spill out so I had to abbreviate my shower. I didn't report it right away as I figured the cleaning staff would notice and get it reported. They did that but it took another day as I was getting ready to check out before they called to come and repair it.
The meeting facilities were great and the courtyard areas were especially nice. Rooms for meetings were well kept and had a variety of sizes.
Overall this hotel was very pleasant. The catered food from our meeting was pretty good as well, but I didn't try any of the restaurants or room service.
If I had to be in this area for pleasure, instead of work, I'd definitely give this hotel a try!

I had been here before when it was The Fairmont Flag, I think it's only been under Marriott for about six months. The interior decor looked mostly the same. Classic, Elegant Hotel.
We arrived after a four day, 2100 mile drive across the country, so we were hot and tired and in need of relaxation. Upon arrival, about 5 pm on a Saturday, the Hotel had a very large Wedding in house and the Valet was busy, they were friendly and courteous and gave us the time we needed to unload. Valet parking is $33.00 a night with no other options.
The Front Desk, associate Carissa, was fabulous, she checked us in, quickly and friendly and professionally, (we had two rooms) she tried to get us close, but we opted for one upgrade instead! As, Platinum Elite members, this hotel does not have a concierge lounge, but we were offered breakfast coupons, which we gladly accepted.
The rooms were clean and spacious, my suite was fabulous! We slept well.
The next morning we went to the restaurant to have breakfast and we could not believe the wonderful buffet they had set up. Such a fabulous variety of fruit and pastries, bagels, eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, juice and coffee included. It was really something special and we were impressed to see the restaurant manager actually helping, seat people, and bus tables, checking in with us to make sure we had everything we need. I asked the hostess his name I believed she said it was Kevin Gardner, so kudos to him for pitching in on a very busy morning.
The rest of the day, we lounged at the beautiful pool, I believe it is a salt water pool, and a hot tub, the water in the hot tub was about 10 inches too low, but I'm sure they will fill it up soon. We loved the pool area, but a full service wait staff would be better than calling room service from a phone. Also the pool cushions look in need of replacing, again, I'm sure these things are in the works as it's a new acquisition.
Did I mention this hotel is pet friendly? Yes it is, every room! Thank you!! This hotel is the perfect pet friendly full service hotel!!!!
As we checked out the next day, they graciously gave us a late check out, we did not want to leave! We were further impressed by two more lovely Front Desk Staff, Yurivia and Ilse, they were kind, and professional and provided excellent service.
I highly recommend it to anyone staying in the Irvine/Newport area, it is close to the SNA airport, but I never heard a plane from my room.
I look forward to returning to this hotel, which definitely delivers excellent service.
