I did a private tour of the desert castles through Farah Hotel, even though I wasn't staying there. I was in Jordan staying with some friends who are expats living and working in Amman, but had a day to myself for a short trip. They quickly organised it for me and gave a competitive price (I contacted 2 other drivers and their price was the best). Ali, my driver, had great English and was super friendly.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It's walking distance from the Citadel, Roman Amphitheater, Rainbow Street, and more. It's also not on the main road which is nice. I stayed in a previous hostel the night before that was located on one of the main streets and its was really loud. The area is general lively and exciting.
The staff is pretty friendly too. Smiley which is nice and they have hot water! Yay! They also help you with figuring out to do if you plan on traveling the rest of the country. I would totally stay here again.

I had an excellent stay at the Farah Hotel. While Amman may not be the best looking city in the world, it is a fascinating city to see Jordan past the Orientalist ideas dreamed of by visitors to Petra and Wadi Rum. Farah Hotel is a great place to do that in. The location is quite central, though Amman is rather sprawling. You are within walking distance to the local souq and several archaeological areas. The Kuwaiti/Palestinian manager is a very friendly fellow who brings a great deal of knowledge and experience of Amman to the hotel. The bathrooms might not win an award for cleanliness, but chatting with the staff would be reason enough for me to return to this very social establishment. The breakfast is pleasant and the rooms are comfortable as well.

Perfect. Staff was nice and accepted to help us when we were in trouble.
Organize nice tours around jordan at reasonable prices.
Location is allright and good wifi connexion for Jordan.
Recommend to small budgets!!

A bit grubby, especially toilet, only one working power point in dorm (luckily, for me, I was one of only two of us, so that was okay); location is very good, centrally placed not far from many sites; staff helpful.
