Hotel wasn't open but they still charged me for a full stay

I'm sure the rooms and breakfast are lovely, but unfortunately we couldn't even get inside due to this hotel's unbelievable unprofessionalism. We reserved a room through Booking and when we showed up at 1:30 PM, the door was locked and nobody was answering the phone. We waited in front of the hotel for at least half an hour and we even asked in the salon next door, where we were told that people are always having this same problem and they have no idea if the hotel is even open anymore.
After wasting almost an hour of our lives with no success in getting anybody to answer either the door or the phone (a lofty expectation for a hotel in the middle of the afternoon, I understand), we left and found other accommodations.
A few days later, a charge showed up on my credit card statement for the full room price. I was shocked, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and politely emailed them to please correct their mistake.
That's when the fun started. Petr Studik responded for the hotel that I didn't answer the phone 6 hours later when he finally tried to call me back and therefore had to pay for the room. I explained that we had waited all afternoon in front of locked doors and there's a limit to how long I'm going to wait for people to do their jobs, and his answer was, "you can wait however long you want. Not my problem."
Three emails later, I'm still waiting for them to refund my money or at least take responsibility for their incompetence. I won't hold my breath, and you shouldn't stay here.

Good location but I didn't feel safe and welcomed. The breakfast was terrible and the room and facilities weren't clean. I felt like they skipped a day or a week of caring about their guests and reputation.

This was my second stay in this hotel. I was thinking, that I was unlucky first time - low water flow in bathroom.
But this time wasn't much better. Yes, water flow was a bit better, but breakfast was terrible. First day scrambled eggs ok. But second day no-one made anything warm, old vegetables...

Average hotel, recomend for a short stay

Good location, near the train station, not to far from the city center. The staff was very friendly. Our room was very simple and breakfast is simple food but ok.
Jó helyen van, nem túl messze a vasútállomástól és kb. 10 perc sétára városközponttól. A szoba berendezése nagyon egyszerű, a reggeli választéka nem túl nagy. Néhány éjszakára megfelelő

Good placed hotel between railway station and right in the city. No city noise in the room. Clean and tidy, helpfull and friendly reception with good knowledge about the country. We can only recommend.
