Don't get me wrong, this hotel is nice and clean and the location on the beach is good but...From the pictures it pretends to be fancy resort or very nice boutique hotel with fireplace in the room. I was very disappointed when we got there with my group. There are only a few rooms with the advertised outdoor patio which of course you have no chance to get. It is just ordinary old, well kept motel by the road. Hallways are pretty rundown and need some attention. Rooms are decent and big but everything else very small so not much privacy anywhere. Small pool and just very basic breakfast of the Days Inn style which you can pretty much skip. Hotel sits between the road along the beach where is some traffic and PCH with all the rest of the traffic so I cannot say this is quiet place. I couldn't have my window open during the night. Very noisy, cars, highway, people loud like they are inside your room. So I have very mixed feelings about this place. It is promoted very well and you need to be aware it is not what it pretends to be, especially for the money you pay, it is overpriced. But again, you are right on the beach in California so I guess you decide. The staff was very friendly and nice. Oh, and please remove the super expensive fancy bottled water from the rooms or give it away complimentary to the guests who pay already high rate, the way it is now ( extra charge ) is just ridiculous...

Our room was nice and big. No view though. It was a pet room on special so maybe that was why. Breakfast had many choices but food was just ok. The location was perfect just across a narrow road to Moonstone Beach and the boardwalk. We spent all of our time out there. Seals on the rocks below.

One night stay returning home to So Cal. Love this location on Moonstone Beach. Room was very comfortable and nice sitting area near fireplace made room seem large but cozy. Nice continental breakfast with hot foods too. The reception, breakfast room and housekeeping staff were all welcoming and friendly.

We loved the fireside Inn... everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very good. The location was perfect. The mattress was not the best... but for one night, it was ok. The room was very nice. Thank you to all the staff! We plan to come again

My husband and I stayed Saturday and Sunday nights and enjoyed the spacious room, the comfortable bed, the fresh towels, the cupboard space, the room décor, the scrumptious breakfast choices and the excellent front desk service and respect. We look forward to returning to this wonderful resort community.
