We stopped in on our way through St.Louis on our yearly motorcycle trip. Asked to view the room before we decided to pay. Before we even took 2 step into the room we said Heck No! It was smelly, dirty, nasty, & highly disgusting!!! I can't believe that people actually stay here. Do not even waste your time & consider stay at this place! No telling what you could get or catch from this place. We stopped at another hotel across the interstate from this one before coming here. Before even getting off our bikes 2 separate cop cars stopped & they both got out & said I do no recommend staying at this hotel. It has high drug & crime activity, so we moved on. Apparently it must be very bad area to stay in. We traveled on up the road about 20miles & stayed at a much nicer hotel. I do not recommend staying here!!!

To begin with, I will admit that when I found this hotel I was traveling on a budget and was just looking for a cheap place to stay. That being said, I would have gladly payed much more to stay somewhere else. It would not be an understatement to say that this place is disgusting. Despite booking a non-smoking room in advance, I was informed on arrival that they were "out" of non-smoking rooms and that I would have to stay in a smoking room. That was the least of the problems. The room was absolutely filthy and obviously hadn't been cleaned since the last visitors. There was dirt and cigarette ash everywhere, as well as fresh wads of chewed gum. The smell was atrocious, even for a smoking room. Lastly, I ended up sleeping on top of the sheets because it honestly did not look like they had been changed since the last person slept in them. It doesn't matter what kind of budget you are traveling on, find somewhere else to stay.

If you are a couple like us and like to spend your money on fun instead of overpriced hotels - this place is PERFECT for you! This place is great because it's just 10 minutes from downtown St. Louis and not sketchy at all! We always make jokes about the motels we sleep in because there have been some doozies but I would say this is top-grade for our cheap cheap motel standards. Again, absolutely not luxury - just a cheap place to lay our head at night. It is an old motel so the rooms have some musky smells from when they used to be smoking rooms, the fan squeaked and the bathtub was not level but overall clean and I felt safe. Right next door to a gas stations so easy snacks. One downfall is - there is absolutely nothing around. No restaurants no buildings - nothing. However, just 10 short minutes drive and there is some stuff.

I would not recommend this hotel. While the room seemed to be Ok at first glance, I discovered that the toilet was missing a seat when it became necessary to use it. I also noted that someone had left a pair of dirty socks on the shelf over the closet area. Had we not already booked this hotel in advance for our trip thru I probably would have never stopped here. Oh and I never found the free Wi-Fi that was supposed to be available.
In the second room we booked the linens were dirty. And the tub/shower is slick as glass. Use with caution.

For the price of the hotel it was ok. The rooms are huge and the bed was clean. However, there was a lot of dust on the furniture, especially the sofas. We only had one towel to dry with and there was hair in the bathroom.
The breakfast was nothing.
The staff was very friendly.
Overall it was ok for the price, but probably would not stay again.
