Stayed two nights to catch the famous unkai clouds...apparently there was the cloud at 3am - could see it forming from hotel room but on that morning- the hotel arrangement for viewing was at 5am....by then there was storm and cancelled...2nd night there was no rain but it was cancelled because of weather condition....practically there is nothing much to do in the resort in june as it was raining season as well. If you were to go, consider going in winter. Overall wasted two precious nights in Hokkaido.
The best holiday.

This is the best place you will never want missed it.
The Resort with the best service and facilities, and the church is awesome. You have to visit once in your life.
In summer time the church is open twice (day time around 6AM and night time) please check the website before you visit.
Excellent, Perfect, Amazing....

This is an excellent experience to be there.
First of all, the whole resort has all what you want such as food, activities, spa etc...all are designed for family.
When I got there, the staff's English is excellent and we have no issues about communication and every staff can communicate easily when you have questions and they are very knowledge and helpful.
About the room, we booked a room of 5 which can actually fit 10 people because this is big with 2 bathrooms. We have 4 tatami and one bend bed, but we didn't even use the bend bed.
For activities, you can join the paid workshops, but we didn't. Instead, we went to Mina Mina Beach for swimming and played with the wave. We also went to hot spring. That is another experience that you could swim in warm water, but it was cold outside.
For Food, we booked hal Dinning Buffet. That was excellent to have the beef and crabs. Food are very tasty and having wide varieties.
For the room price, it has included breakfast buffet, unkai coupon (that is a cable car to uphill), free and unlimited entry to beach and hot spring, so it is really over its value.
We will definitely come again there.
Excellent hotel

Good room, good service, and good view from hotel. Nothing to complain. Besides, there are also lots of activities for tourists to enjoy during the stay. I visited here in the beginning of fall and I definitely want to visit here again in the winter.
Very crowded!

We got a sense of how popular this place was with foreign visitors as we stepped onto the bus (domestic travelers are definitely a minority in Tomamu).
I booked our family into a 3-bed room and were very surprised to find a room with 5 beds, 2 toilets and a very spacious living area with a big sofa.
The different buildings were connected by glass tunnels, still very cold in the tunnel so wear your coat!
An advice about meal time at Tomamu during the popular season... go early to avoid the queues! The restaurants (not the buffet halls) we saw were quite small and queues formed quickly at meal time. While there was a website that you could use to monitor the crowd at the different restaurants and facilities within the resort, but it would take you some time to reach there and the info would be outdated. That said, do try the cheese fondue, it was good!
We enjoyed the ice village, snow sled, hot water pool and onsen. We tried to book ourselves into a ski class couple of week ahead but they were already full. May want to do it really early if you had plans for that.
