What People are saying

Good location

Sander F on 14/11/2017 17:10

Situated in a nice neighbourhood, close to public transport, clean, friendly.

If you're traveling by car, there are some options nearby. We used parking l'essai, 4 nights were 45 EUR (booked in advance).

We got a relatively good deal for the hotel via booking, the official rate would have been too high for us.

Fabulous birthday Weekend in Paris, bad hotel

KellyDoug on 09/11/2017 12:22

This hotel is in bad condition. The rooms are dirty, dated and very, very small. The downstairs is slightly better but the 'honesty bar' is always locked so you can't actually get into it and the breakfast is of poor quality also. There are packaged pancakes, bread and a small fruit selection. There is also cheese and ham but no warm options. No 'English Tea' only herbal/fruit teas and coffees.
The only saving grace for this weekend was the receptionist Morgan. She goes above and beyond to try and help you and improve your stay. I would give her 5*'s!!
We were originally shown to room 502 and we immediately requested an alternative. The sheets were stained, the carpet stained and sticky, the bathroom sink leaked, had dirty towels on the floor of the shower also and the walls and tables were damaged, stained and just in need of repair! Lamps were chipped and bulbs mismatched.
We were then given room 302 by a very helpful and apologetic Morgan which was marginally better but still needing a good scrub to the walls and carpets but at least bedding was clean and sink not leaking.
The location is quite nice with local bars and shops. We went to the famous Mouffetard for drinks in the evening and perused some wine and cheese stalls en route to dinner.
Overall I wouldn't come back to this hotel but would go back to it's sister hotel the Seven Hotel as we went there for cocktails and it was much better!

Nice little hotel in a lovely area

VegasTravelqueen on 08/11/2017 22:24

The term little applies to our room but it was charming. The decor wasn't my taste but it was clean and trendy and in the Latin Quarter of Paris. The staff were very friendly and always ready to assist.

A Surprise Birthday Trip for a Five Star Wife

EZTravelGIG on 01/11/2017 19:38

I wanted to surprise my lovely wife for her birthday and the mission was completed successfully with the help of the Five Hotel.

Although the room was small, even smaller for me at 6' 5", we managed to enjoy 7 wonderful days in Paris. If you are not used to spending time with your spouse in close quarters, then this may not be the place for you. However, If you are comfortable sharing a small space with your best friend, then it can be very enjoyable.

The star lights inside our room added some seductive charm to both our room and experience. So, beware, you may want to add additional lighting to your bedroom upon return home.

Here are 5 Great reasons to consider the Five Hotel for your spouses' birthday:

Great location near a variety of restaurants and fine dining options

Resourceful and pleasant staff with good advice on restaurants, tours and things to do

Easily accessible to major landmarks like Notre Dame and the Lourve

Accessible to metro and other means of public transportation

The neighbor is nice and friendly filled with residences, restaurants and businesses

Merci Beaucoup!

5 Star service for a 3 Star price

Our room in this hotel was very small, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. When we opened the balcony doors we could see a small cafe down below. Even with the cafe there, the room was still quiet and we enjoyed 3 nights of restful sleep.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. They have a generous check out time of noon. On our last day in Paris our flight out was not until early evening. When I mentioned this to the man at the front desk, he informed me that they had a place to keep our luggage for us, so that we could enjoy our last day in the city without having to drag our bags with us.

The area around the hotel has several cafes, shops and a pharmacy. The bus was nearby and we used that often to get to the heart of the city. There is a wonderful little chocolate shop around the corner that we visited twice.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Five Hotel and would definitely stay there again.
