What People are saying

Lots of potential just not as expected (yet)

The Flagship resort only gets 2 stars from me as just like most things in AC it just doesn't have it and it smells former glory. But in contrast with other things in AC, Flagship only needs minor investments/adaptations to get to the 4 star rating and it boggles my mind why they haven't done that yet - to sum some up:
- Improve your speed of service at reception desk. Many times staff is working on other things (not visibly on other visitors) while people are waiting.
- The elevators have a fun system but when busy it isn't properly addressing needs which might be adjustable with a software update.
- The shuttle check-in/pickup is a process and a half and should be easier. Why in half-empty shuttle not taking someone with luggage boggles my mind. When we used the shuttle the confusion might've been caused by having a new driver but a Laurel and Hardy episode would be best to describe this. Luckily the assistant driver switched in our case and the passive aggressive older man was replaced for a younger guy who understood service...
- The 2 bar/restaurants do not cater for most common food allergies/sensitivities while there is barely another option at walking distance. Thinks like vegetarian or gluten sensitive are so common these days that a simple salad cannot be your only option.
- The studio room we were in, has space for 4 people to sleep, had 4 of everything in the kitchenette, has a table with 4 dining chair and a a couch that only seats 2 to 3 people (maybe 4 children).
- The dining table was sticky regardless of how we tried to clean it.
- The shower/bath tub doesn't drain.
- There is no fan in the bathroom which makes that small room into a steam room after 1 shower.
- The remainder of the room has very dry air.
- The tv is not on a swivel which limits its view from the couch and 1 of the 2 beds.
- When you have everything for coffee in a room, adding a few tea bags wouldn't hurt.
- Even though it's early November, the weather was great but there are no chairs on the balcony or that are intended to be taken there.
- There is only 1 side table for 2 queen size beds, hence guess sleeping not next to it have no safe space for glasses, water (see dry air comment above) or a book (see tv comment above) while there is space for small side tables.
- Lights (or at least 1) that can easily operated from the beds would be helpful at night.
- Outlets to recharge a phone at night next to the beds (not only on the opposite wall) would be appreciated. My 6ft cord still didn't find an available outlet close enough to be reached from any of the beds.
- Whomever bought the trash bins for under sink in bathroom or kitchen hadn't measured correctly I presume, hence they can be cramped in there but not used, or placed outside of it and being the way...
- Your restaurant has high chairs, the pools are equipped to host little kids, it would be smart to have a few foldable infant beds available for in rooms upon request. If you want to go above and beyond one can even add some high chairs to that. It would fit in the rebranding of DO/AC.
- While the AC boardwalk is great about separating recyclables from trash, the hotel rooms don't offer this...
The staff is very nice, polite and welcoming so the most difficult prerequisite of human capital is there already. The amenities such as pool and movie rental are fun perks. Also they will soon be connected to the boardwalk and plan to have a great view terrace there...

I love the views from the higher floor.

I own a timeshare here. I use this when I'm going to a show and/or dinner in Atlantic City. It's great for a weekend trip with my girlfriends. There's a shuttle bus that goes to many of the casinos. The rooms are spacious, well stocked with any items you would need. The staff is very hospitable and attentive. There are two places to buy food, one is a very nice restaurant on the 6th floor, the other is a small café on the 1st floor. I have eaten at both and enjoyed the food choices, quality and prices. I feel there is a great value for my money here.

Great View!!!

We had a great overall vacation at the Flagship Resort. Our 29th floor 1 bedroom suite was a nice size for 3 adults. I found the bed comfortable and slept like a baby. The furnature and tables are very dated, but who stays in the room on vacation? The balcany was very large and we had great view of ocean and down town.

I would not recommend the restaurant, overpriced and not very tasty. However, the bar downstairs has some good sandwiches. The shuttle service was nice and we used it a few times.

There is a lot of construction going on right now. The boardwalk will soon extend all the way to the Aquarium. The Flagship is talking to putting a bar over the ocean.

I look forward to returning in a few years to see all of the changes!

Good, not great.

Flagship Resort is weird. Its stuck in this inbetween land in a time warp between The Jetsons and MadMen. Upon entering, the lobby area is very nice. Things are shiny and clean, then you look to your right, and there is a guy walking the dining area, singing Sinatra standards to the patrons, like its a scene from Goodfellas. A little 1970s but ok. You check in, and you have to go use the futuristic super elevators (that positively suck, IMHO). You push the floor you want, it tells you which elevator to wait for and that will take you to your floor, based on some algorithm of other elevator passenger destinations....or something. Very 2025. What I know is that "wait," is the operative word, as the elevators take FOR. EVER. to get there. Once on, you are going where you said you were, so hope you didn't change your mind, or forget that you parked at level 4, not 3. There are no buttons, or anyway to change your floor selection. If you did, you'd probably blow the elevators motherboard anyway by making it calculate the adjustment. In short, just put a damn normal elevator in there. *eye roll* Once on your floor, everything is very uniform and nondescript, again, like a dystopian future world. But one floor down, the color scheme is orange and brown with green pile carpet, very much like I just parked my Cadillac Deville after listening to my 8 track of the Doobie Brothers. My point is, the decor is all over the place. The rooms themselves were CRAZY spacious. By making the bathroom and bedroom each the size of a broom closet, they have opened up a lot of space for the living room/kitchenette to be spaced out. There was a really nice balcony, with a nice view of downtown AC. There was a nice little restaurant in the hotel as well that had good, not great food. The hotel itself is a bit to itself, completely at the end of the city, but it has a shuttle service that will take you into the mix if you are so inclined. It wasn't a bad stay, but its not luxurious or swanky by ANY stretch. The rooms are ok for a weekend family stay at the beach, if you have kids or a group or something. Its not somewhere you'd go for a romantic weekend or a special occasion. There is an attached parking garage which is very cool if you want to use your car instead of the shuttles.

Nice views, Improvements needed.

The hotel is located near Absecon Lighthouse near the end of the Boardwalk. As the Boardwalk is rebuild, the access road was a little bumpy and will probably need to be repaved after construction is over. Also hotel itself was under construction as a grocery store was added.

Hotel does not have a luggage cart for private use. Only bellhops can use them.

Elevators are equipped with a neat automated system where as you input the destination floor on the keypad the screen will direct you to one of the four elevators. Elevators are quite fast contrary to older reviews. Also be careful with elevator A as it opens on two sides. I was once surprised when a maintenance person entered and exited the elevator on level 2.

The nicest thing about our one-room suite was the view form the balcony. Our balcony offered a beautiful view of almost whole Atlantic City; from Brigantine Bridge on one side to the Atlantic Ocean near the Ten (formerly Revel) on the other side with all of the casinos in between. At night most casinos were nice illuminated especially Harrah's and Borgata.

Suite was clean and nicely furnished. Only dirt I noticed was under the pullout bed. Linens and towels were clean. Dishes, silverware and serving most utensils were in good order. Refrigerator, microwave oven and hot plate cook top and coffeemaker all were clean and working.

The most notable annoyance was the dirt on the windows. This will probably apply to the corner suites that have windows that are permanently locked. As the windows did not open there is no way for the staff to frequently clean the outside surface of the windows. Glass surfaces accessible from balcony were clean both inside and outside.

Other minor annoyances included a missing crumb tray from the toaster, somewhat dull chefs knife, and curtain rails in need of lubrication. There were some minor tears in the pullout bed and armchair. Also some of the hardware was missing screws, most notably the balcony door lock was missing one of two screws. Lock itself was operational. A table lamp in living room had two power outlets but no usb ports. Popcorn ceiling may not appeal to everyone.

Superstitious people will be happy that there is no 13th floor.

Pool area is average. There are two round hot tubs outside, and a bigger rectangular one inside. In my opinion water in all three hot tubs was not hot enough, and there were no feet massaging jets. Swimming pool is relatively small and shallow. Pool is about 50 by 25 feet and form 3 to 5 feed deep. Pool gets crowded with kids but there is an adult only hour at the end of the day. Locker area was clean and nice but locker room shower run out of both shampoo and soap. Towels for the pool are complimentary.

Shuttle was also free. Shuttle schedule can be found on the website. Printed schedule can be obtained in the lobby or from the drivers. Most drivers were courteous and punctual. One of the drivers was giving a same talk everyday about all the eateries in the vicinity and it got a little bit boring after a while. We were informed that usual shuttle bus was broken, but the replacement van was quite comfortable. When boarding priority is given to owners and exchange guests over the regular visitors. Since there were only 13 seats available sometimes people were turned away, but I suppose they were picked up on the next shuttle run. I think this problem will be solved when regular bus returns to service.

Overall would rate this hotel as a good value for the family/budget traveler. Nothing was particularly bad, but the only outstanding quality was the nighttime view of the city, and that alone might not be enough as Ten/Revel and HardRock/TajMahal are set to reopen next year. Hopefully competition from the "new" hotels in the vicinity will force Flagship to make need improvements.

As per questions below, this hotel is a time-share property. There are no tennis court on property but there is a city park two blocks away where one may be able to play tennis.
