I used a discount through Pacifica Hotels. 20% off. Didn't help much with all the taxes (3) and fees (2). Many places to choose from along this beach. Lost my pillow, they found it and it's $17.49 to ship it back to me. Nice place to visit, but next time I'll get a room in Morro Bay or inland.

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is in a perfect location. Only issues were the TV wouldn't change channels in the bedroom and there were noisy tennants running a marathon above us. Other than that we had a relaxing time.

A friend recommend the FogCatcher Inn and we are so glad we tried it out. The staff was very friendly and the room was well appointed with mini fridge, micro, robes. My only recommendation on the room is to add either a standing lamp or another wall sconce on the other side of the bed in the double/double room for better reading light. The beds are super comfortable and the fireplace makes a cozy atmosphere. In regards to the property, the exterior could use a fresh coat of paint. It is possible they are going for the distressed wood look, but I think is just makes it look old. The jacuzzi needed to be cleaned and turned up. After the night tour at Hearst castle, it was disappointing to go into a hot tub that was not hot enough -- and it was cold outside. I shared this with the staff, but we did not try it out the second night. The breakfast was good with eggs, sausage, wafflemaker, yogurt, toast, bagels, some pastries, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, tea, juice, whole fruit. I would recommend staying here,

The good: great location, friendly check in service, complimentary breakfast that's pretty decent.
Needs improvement: bathrooms are small and quite dated, alarm clock was set to wrong time (didn't adjust for end of daylight saving), not enough outlets )and the only centrally located one wasn't working!), way overpriced for what you get.

Enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor and indoor fireplaces. The hot breakfast was delicious and proximity to the beach and restaurants was ideal. Would definitely stay at the FogCatcher again, thank you for a relaxing experience
