Took my family there for breakfast that was not cheap. I expected higher standard of food and service. We ordered from the set breakfast menu got charged from the itemised buffet menu that was more expensive, staff were slow and standoffish. Food was not great at all. We Will not eat there again.

I stayed here 3 nights and it was not so bad. My room was clean, the wifi was fast, the bed was okay, so it was comfortable. It is a little bit a time travelling too, because this hotel stucked in the early 90s years. The breakfast was ok, you will survive here without any problem.

The Polana feels like the Eastern Europe hotel that Time forgot. It is well maintained, clean, friendly staff, and the rooms have the basic comforts that you expect from a middle class hotel. You can do a lot worse. I do feel it's a little pricey.

Just spend the past weekend at this hotel for my best friends wedding and everything from accommodation to service in the restaurant and the food quality was amazing. The wedding dinner and event itself under the leadership of Branislav Selecky as manager was flawless. I live in NYC and was impressed seeing the synchronized service during plate drop off and the flexibility when it comes to special requests many guests had.
I highly recommend Polana.

The position of the hotel is very good, in the very center of the city, where "everything" is near, yet it is calm there. The interior is interesting, you can feel the architecture of the sixties there.
Inside of the hotel is a restaurant with excellent food. The staff is friendly and very professional and helpful. Rooms were clean, equipment okay, even though we had an older TV in the room, which was not working. Wifi was working.
