I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner and loved the hotel! I would say it is more of a 4* rather than 3*, it is in a great location in the centre of Abano Terme.
We were in a very modern room (208) and the hotel itself is beautiful. The pool area was also very relaxing!
The breakfast wasn't the best however it was included with the price of the room which was very good value and also included free wifi.
The only problem we had was that there was no iron in the room (or anywhere in the hotel when we asked!) we were here for a wedding & it would have been good to have had access to an iron so if you are visiting for a wedding bear this in mind!

Formentin it's a nice clean hotel in a quiet pedestrian area with a warm and clean pool. Even if we stayed only two nights, it's clear that they have good services and of course it's more recommended for SPA and treatments.

Trip in abano with my wife and beautiful stay in Formentin.
Great hospitality, clear everywhere, employees very polite and one very big pool.
If you need also a large selection of SPA treatments.

My husband and I stayed for 2nights at the Formentin hotel. Despite mixed reviews about this hotel, we decided to book our stay because of it's location.
Honestly I have mix feeling about this hotel. From my observation, the hotel seems to be doing very well with their Italian guest because I notice hotel staff being very friendly to some of the guest. It appears to me that these could be returning guest which have enjoyed their stay in the past. What is lacking is they don't seems to pay any attention to non- Italian guest.
Both morning at the breakfast room, my husband and I waited to be seated and on the first morning waited for over 15mins for our coffee. There was no issue of being understood because we speak fluent Italian, but the waitress was so busy complaining to all the other Italian that she had received a call at 0630am in the morning from her boss to return to work on her rest day. Honestly as a hotel guest, we do not need to hear or know about the internal affairs of your hotel. I find it annoying and unprofessional.
The room that we had was OK. Old but clean and certainly in need of some serious renovation.
I believe this could well be a 4 star hotel with some renovation and some extra care on how to handle hotel guest. While I appreciate a hotel treating guest like friends but you need to be professional at the same time.
No idea if I will visit again as I did not get a good first impression of the hotel. But nontheless I would recommend other guest to stay at this hotel because of the location.

I was travelling with my friend, enjoying the hospitality of the hotel for two weeks. For the whole duration of my stay, the staff was very welcome and friendly. The location is just perfect - at the center of the town. The pool was clean and not crowded at all, at least when I stayed there (March’13). It’s worth every penny I paid, so I would definitely come back there again.
