We organised to stay at forcing all through easy to book online. On arrival we were told tht we would actually be staying at dreams beach resort which was owned by the same people but has a rating of 5.6 on easy to book.
The place was a dive. There were ockroaches in the room. The power was out all day from 9 am until 7pm. The bed was hard as a rock and I awoke covered in some sort of insect bites.
The bathroom was dirty and there was no hot water. There was a crack in the door that allowed mosquitoes in.
The service was non existent. The manager could not speak English and refused to give us a refund despite us paying for another hotel with rates of double this one.
This is the worst hotel I have stayed at in over 6 weeks in India.

Firstly, we didn't stay at fortingall but at Dream Beach resort since the former was under some renovation. (They have the same proprietor.) The manager, Sandeep, was warm n helpful n even drove down to reach us en route n guide our auto to the hotel at 9 pm. The rooms had spotless linen, clean cupboard n a hygienic bathroom. Windows need to be opened for ventilation. Sandeep was available whenever sought n even booked our rail ticket to alleppey on request n also fetched an auto at 6 am for the station. The staff was cheerful n ready to provide services. The complimentary breakfast had a plateful of slice fruits, bread, butter, jam n eggs to order-very filling. The resort was 1-2 minutes walk from the cliff/beach.(There are few resorts on the cliff too but rarely give a beach view from the room, so its the same.) Definitely recommend a stay at a reasonable price-1200 for non AC. Cheaper hotels might be available but I can vouch for the cleanliness n services here.

I stayed here with my family last month.It is very clean and the service is excellent.The food is also very tasty.The resort is walkable distance from the varkala beach.And the rate is also very reasonable. I totally enjoyed the stay.

The food provided was awsome.. and everything made us so comfortable that we dint think about an alternative.WiFi , easy transportation to city(15km) and other important places is an addon.Very calm and cool surrounding. And about the rate it was reasonable.

First we just wanted to stay for two nights, but ended up staying here for almost four weeks. A nice and clean property with lovely helpful staff. Close enough to the beach. Quite location and WiFi included. Highly recommended.
