Trimmaon 05/11/2017 06:06Large room, very comfortable, on 6th floor nice outlook, bit noisy during day but not bad a night, cheap drinks from reception,handy location, breakfast good value,didn't have dinner there but prices seem very reasonable.
Comfortable but noisy road
GrahamNon 02/11/2017 11:14The good points were that the staff were friendly and helpful and the beer was cheap. The downside was the noise from the traffic. Motorbikes in the night were the worst. Internet worked fine, and the hotel also supplied two little bottles of water a day.
Everything you need in a Hotel
catchleanneon 30/10/2017 19:19It doesn't look great from the outside but it had everything I needed in a Hotel. From the 7th floor I had a fabulous view over the fountain, large park across the street and to the hills beyond. The restaurant downstairs is reasonably priced, the soup and buffet salad is a great option for dinner if you don't feel like going out.
A week away in Hobart

The staff are warm and friendly and we're always available to help with NY of our questions. The breakfast was excellent and included in the price of the room. We will definitely stay at the hotel next time we are in Hobart. The picture is the view from our room across to the gardens.
Cheap Beer and Great location
LaBrentonon 18/10/2017 05:45The Fountainside Hotel lies adjacent to what my taxi driver described as 'The world's best Roundabout' at who's core lies a large fountain. I don't know about it being the best, or who decides such a thing, but it was a nice roundabout.
The hotel is centrally located about a 10 minute walk from Salamanca Place and all the great bars and restaurants down along the wharves. My room was huge with 2 single and 1 double bed, and a small kitchenette with mini fridge, stove and sink. Beds were great- really comfortable. Room was clean. The drinks in the hotel bar were the cheapest drinks I've ever seen in a hotel, same price as buying them from large liquor stores. Makes grabbing a few beers or wines after a long day very affordable!
