A long way to go
Nick Pon 05/11/2017 15:11You can tell this hotel had a makeover, but there is still a long way to go. I came for a conference and the staff were great, the food was great, but the accommodations are in need of work. The king bed I had was flat and hard, the shower had the soap, conditioner, and shampoo dispensers you'd expect from a motor lodge. One big complaint, specifically with the world series going on was that all of the TVs were HD capable, but the only signal the hotel had was analogue. So if you watch the screen didn't fit and you couldn't see the score or a clear picture. Oddly enough, each room had a channel guide that listed digital channels but no way to get to them. At one point I had to wait 7 mins for my elevator and the internet was 1mb at best, after you fought your computer to override the security warnings. I think there are better properties to be found.
Great hotel in a great location
pjkisson 02/11/2017 21:56This is a great upscale hotel in a great downtown location on the river with wonderful views. Service is top notch and rooms are very spacious, especially the suites. We had breakfast at the hotel which was a little pricey, but a decent breakfast. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
Great stay

The 1st night was on 10/21/17 and the 2nd was on 10/23/17. The 10/21 was perfect from check-in to the 2 beds we has, sheets were nice and beds felt heavenly. On 10/23 it was so so as they put me and my mom in a handicap room with one king bed. Just weird she chose that room when hotel was not filled up since there was barely any cars in parking lot garage but otherwise we got a good night sleep here.
Their tv channels was very limited though but I wasn't there to watch alot of tv but this would be important to someone with a long stay at this hotel.

I have known this property under some previous affiliations, but the Four Points is the nicest of all. Very friendly gentleman got us in our room early and was most efficient at getting everything done for us.
Room was large an very comfy. We only spent a couple of hours in there Saturday getting ready for a wedding and then we got back after the ceremony and reception, the bed was so comfy we both fell asleep almost instantly.
We on the "town" side on the 9th floor, but heard nothing other than a fire run on Saturday afternoon.
We will be back if and when we need to stay in downtown Charleston again.
Clean, comfortable and convenient

The location is fantastic - right by the river and in walking distance of some great restaurants and shops. Even when the hotel is very busy, the staff is always courteous and helpful. I just returned from a trip there and Terrell and Heather at the front desk were awesome. The free bottled water in the rooms is a really nice touch. A mini fridge would be great for longer stays but the ice machines are convenient. Wonderful hotel at a really good price!
