Went to my husband's annual soccer tournament, the event is held on the grounds of this hotel, beautiful grounds & soccer fields for the players. This hotel has a quaint feel as you walk in very old west style, dedicated to John Wayne there is a lobby bar called Duke's. Very cool they have many photos of John (The Duke) Wayne hanging in the bar. They also pay tribute to the San Francisco Giants, In 1962 they launched their spring training, Very historical place, you can just feel the nostalgia everywhere. The staff is very nice the lady who took care of us at Duke's Bar was very sweet they have delicious menu items, great service all around.
Our stay was very pleasant we had a corner room so the view was spectacular, beautiful sunsets at night.

We were on a trip from Texas to California to take my mother to a memorial service for my uncle who had passed away. We wanted to stop and spend the night in Casa Grande because this is where my mother grew up. In fact, the farm/ranch where my mother grew up in the 1940s and 1950s was maybe half a mile from the Francisco Grande Hotel, which is why we wanted to stay here. Also, we like to stay at hotels that have character and reflect the local setting and culture. The Francisco Grande did have that old southwest hacienda feel, which we enjoyed. We arrived late in the evening when it was dark and the entrance was hard to find. The front desk clerk was not very friendly or helpful when we checked in. The elevator worked only part of the time. The room was comfortable and clean but needed renovation. The bathroom tiles needed caulking. The toilet didn't flush very well. The furnishings in the room were a bit outdated (i.e. bedspreads vs. duvets). The TV was in a cabinet that was low to the ground which made it hard to see from the bed. However, the rooms have balconies with wonderful views. This could be a really nice resort hotel with some renovation and attention.

Seversl rooms had multiple bugs we had a large group and srbersl had to be relocated because of bugs in beds and bathroom.
Not just the desert roaches but also crickets, small crawler, and others.
Could have been a nice stay at A retro hotel. A retreat turned into nothing but.

Well kept and retro style. Kids loved the grounds and clean, baseball bat shaped pool. Rooms are fairly updated and nice. We were in Casa Grande for a baseball tournament, and couldn't ask for a more fun place to stay. Loved the Willie Mays and McCovey memorabilia!

Attended a convention here, and it was a nice stay once I found it. The parking lot is strange, as the spaces are curved. I stayed in the tower, and it was a nice room with a great view of the area. The first keycard didn't work, so I had to get a new one. The person at the desk mentioned that this happens a lot as the doors are open to the elements. The staff was friendly. All in all a nice stay.
