Elegant, modern room, same goes for the bathroom. Great location - just around the corner from the "sites" and yet a short walk to the bus station. A handsome library overlooking the pool. The staff was helpful. I got a great rate through Booking.com.

Great location just outside the old city walls in this amazing town. Our first floor room overlooked a grim courtyard with a dust bin lid sitting on the netting below - not a great look!
The decor of the room was black and white minimalist but perfectly comfortable. The bathroom was part of the main room with walls that did not reach the ceiling - fine if you want to continue a conversation but not a lot of privacy.
Breakfast service on our first day was chaotic as the waiter was having to double up as the check out desk receptionist as well as making coffee and toast.
Despite these slightly quirky features this is still a good place to stay.
A quirky hotel

Situated very close to the old town which is beautiful. Easy to walk to the main square where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Staff were helpful. Decor very quirky with a mix of old and modern artefacts. Room small but comfortable and despite overlooking the road was soundproof. Very small pool with a few sun loungers. No pool towels so either bring your own or use the ones from your room. Shower ok but the sachets of gel and shampoo were not really adequate for two people. Breakfast could be eaten inside or outside which was nice. Fruit, cheese, ham, yogurt, cereals and bread on offer. Bread could be toasted. We were able to park on the street and thought the hotel was good value.

The hotel is not actually within the old city walls but very close and so convenient for sight seeing. I did not use a car but came by bus and the main bus station is a little walk but it is a level walk and no hills to climb! The reception at the hotel was good - I was checked in by Viktor and allocated a room on the front road side which at first I thought may be noisy but in practice it was fine. The room has A/C so no problem and although at first I had difficulty with the heat adjustment with the multi jet shower it was soon fixed by Viktor. Being a conversion from an old building the room ceilings are high, something which appeals. The morning breakfast was very nice with delicious toast and good array of the normal things you see in Andalucia especially the coffee. Viktor was helpful with arranging for a sightseeing tour and recommending places to have a bite to eat. I visited in September when the temperatures were still high and it was nice to be able to enjoy a drink or an ice cream outside. Whilst Baeza is a small town having only about 15,000 inhabitants I think it deserves a stay of 2 nights especially if arriving late one day becasue the place does put you into a relaxed frame of mind and should not be hurried in my opinion.
I found the bed to be very comfortable !!! And WiFi worked fine.

The hotel is a nice mixture of hip and antique, and the help is extremely helpful and friendly. Two critiques, and they're minor ... the entire hotel was freezing cold in February. It's low season here, so the owner may not want to heat a half empty hotel. We cranked up the heat in our room and left to walk around ... by the time we came back it was comfortable. Also ... the wifi signal did not reach our room, so I did most of my travel research in their library, which was REALLY comfortable and offered a computer that was on line all the time.
Another nice touch - the bath was a whirlpool, which is nice when you're doing a lot of walking. Breakfast room was a breath of fresh air and the same mix of sleek glass and leather mixed with the stone walls, which is a great look.
As for price, it will make you forget all about any minor detractions ... 50 euros included a hearty breakfast buffet.
