Pros:
* Location is excellent in downtown "peatonal"
* Superb Breakfast is in a traditional Bar of Cordoba
* Staff is super friendly
Cons:
* Rooms a bit dated
* No Bible in drawer

* You arrive walking, not driving. You need to park somewhere else.

Reality is very far away from what the pictures from Booking.com showed. Very old and deteriorated furniture. When I turned on the AC, black dust came out and fell all over my comforters and pillows. The manager cleaned it up, but the black dust kept coming out all night long. The girl from the day shift was very rude. The night shift guy was better. Breakfast is served one and a half block away and is very limited (coffe and medialunas). Very expensive compared with other hotels for what they offer.

The Hotel has a great location. Room was very nice, newly refurbished (half the hotel is currently being refurbished but it wasn't a problem for us). The breakfast is in a cafe down the road, but not an issue as it's very tasty and the staff are lovely. The staff in the hotel are helpful and very friendly.
There were some negatives, some that you expect from a 2 star - such as it being quite noisy (noise carried a lot from the reception area and off the street) and the shower is tiny and floods the entire bathroom. These are to be expected from such a hotel.
However, on the day we arrived I went to shower and the towel smelt awful. Upon inspection, there was actual faeces on it. The staff immediately rectified the situation and I suggested they inform their laundry service (my partner and I work in healthcare so there was no doubt in our identification of what it was!) important to know, but aside from this, the 4 night stay was flawless!

The Garden Hotel is ideally located, has very comfortable rooms, and amazingly friendly staff!
I arrived at 8 am in the morning and was immediately given a highly spacious, tastefully renovated room. I also experienced an 8 hour(!) bus delay and whizzed back to the Garden Hotel. They very kindly phoned the next hotel to confirm 24 hour check in, and told me that I could relax in their 'garden' and use internet and other facilities.
Now, that is what I call service!!!
Breakfast is not on-site but is in an atmospheric old cafe just a block away, and their cafe con leche is deliscious.

Booked this hotel as it had an okay rating on booking.com. Unfortunately this was our first time ever that the rating was totally different than our experience. At first sight the hotel makes a shabby impression, however for a one-night city trip we are not very picky. When continuing to the room everythung looked very outdated and poorly cleaned. The room had a very weird smell, was extremely dark as there is no real day light for most of the rooms, and to top it up a used condom was hanging on the door knob of the bathroom. We notified the reception and got the hell out of there! Worst hotel ever, period.
