Loved our week here in September

It is a very attractive small hotel, a little haven to come back to at any time, with its lovely little garden and pool. We had a BIG very comfy bed, sitting room and small balcony and it was quiet, just what we wanted. We ate breakfast in the garden, fruit, meats, cheeses breads and with the best coffee or tea and on the nights we chose to eat in we found the choice imaginative and delicious. Garrucha is more Spanish than places nearby, there is a big Friday market, lots of shops and a number of restaurants to choose from The owners Sean and Beatriz are so welcoming and nothing seems to be too much trouble, thank you both, we hope to return!
A wonderful stay

We are a family of four with two young kids. We stayed in the one bedroom suite with a king bed and two single beds for 3 nights. It was exactly what we wanted. The hotel was very well maintained and very clean. It felt like we were staying in a friend's house because Sean and Beatrice were super friendly and warm and were always ready to help with anything we needed. Breakfast every morning by the pool in the quaint little courtyard was perfect. The restaurant at the hotel was reasonably priced for the quality. The wine shop has a small but excellent collection of good quality Spanish wines. Overall we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Jazz evening

We booked a table for the jazz evening, the setting very pretty and nothing was to much trouble for the staff.
Good selection on menu and very good food.
Earlier in the week we called in just for a glass of wine at lunchtime, very pleasant hour spend in the tranquil garden.
Well worth a visit

We chose this hotel on a recent overnight trip to Garrucha . The hotel is just outside of the town everything however is within walking distance . We had booked a junior suite . Room was perfectly adequate spacious comfortable bed large bathroom with a shower some toiletries provided which was great also complimentary water . The hotel is family run all the staff are delightful. There is a very pretty garden with a small pool ana few sun beds . We ate dinner in the hotel the food was lovely . Fantastic menu with great choices of meat and fish . I opted for for the chicken breast stuffed with Roquefort mousse my husband chose the pork Wellington . Both main courses were superb . The home made desserts were equally delicious . Buffet continental breakfast was excellent with a good choice . Wished I'd been staying another night !! Before we left we visited the hotels wine shop and bought a selection of wines which we'd drunk at dinner . A great little hotel with a lovely ambience

I stayed at the Hotel Tikar for 7 nights from 23 to 30 May with a friend.
The owners Sean & Beatrice, and all of their staff were just so amazingly helpful, and kind. The service and standard of food and wine excellent, both at lunch and supper - the ambience just right - and the size of the twin room more than adequate.
Sean and Beatrice were wonderful hosts - very welcoming and funny - and we enjoyed their company.
A truly memorable stay indeed.
