There is nothing exceptional about Gateway Inn—the room was clean and neat, the management was friendly, the price was reasonable considering the proximity to the park—all you would expect. But the location was so convenient.

We picked this location as they allowed animals, which we didn't end up bringing. The cabin was lovely, good size. Was surprised the fireplace was wood, we weren't there long enough to use it. The bathroom was OK and fine at night but in the morning there was no hot water and very little water at all. There was a problem with the water pump - I believe it was an outage
The gentleman who ran the place was very nice. We didn't get much exposure to anything as we were only there for under 12 hours.

The RV park is really a parking lot full of weeds, with a HoneyPot/Port-a-Potty right in the middle. Some of the electrical outlets would not work. They have run down trailers and truck campers that look like they are permanent. The employees and owners yell at each other when new campers come in, because there is not enough room for their cars and the campers. Each spot has barely enough room to put out your slides, and no room for a picnic table or outdoor furniture. It is more like a parking lot. Even though this park is right outside the entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park, I highly recommend finding another location. We left a day early and forfeited the cost, just to get out of there. The owners that run the Gateway Inn & Cabins, also run the RV Park.

It's a short distance to the entrance of the park. Very good location especially if you want to visit Paradise area. No nearby restaurants or gas stations.
Cabin was clean & comfortable. Bathroom was too small.

The cabins have a great location and are quite cute from the outside. We were expecting rustic, dated cabins, but we were expecting them to be clean. They were not. They were dark and dirty, and MICE kept me up most of the night. We rented two cabins, and both had this problem. This could be a wonderful place, but on another review the owners responded that they had taken care of the mice problem. Sadly, they have not done so. Also, there is no cell service at this hotel and they do not have a phone in the room. There is, however, internet access.
