Walking distance to all major places in Rome. Old hotel but room cleaning is excellent. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast so so, hot water could be get from a kettle or machine instead of waiting from the lady who serves.

The hotel had maybe seen better days, the interior needs a renovation soon. But it is distinctly Italian in its decor and decorating choices, whether you like that or not!
But what really saves Hotel Genio is its staff, from reception, to housekeeping to the breakfast restaurant! I travel A LOT and as an experienced traveller I can tell the difference between staff doing their job and staff that actually like their job! In Hotel Genio it seems they actually like helping out the guests. At No time did I ever get the feeling I was in the way, not did I feel I asked stupid questions(Which I most certainly did!). There were small mistakes, but hey its Italy and thats Why we keep coming back, the Italians! They are only humans....
I have stayed at Hotel Genio before and will stay with them again, I choose the staff at Hotel Genio over any of Romes glitchy fancy 5-Star marble palaces any day!

Very good hotel perfectly located within walking distance from the Tiber, the Vatican, the Colosseum and Piazza Navona/Pantheon. Excellent roof terrace, don´t forget to take your breakfast up there with a wonderful view of Rome above the roofs.

The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. It's within walking distance to Navona and the Pantheon. I will definitely go back. The roof top patio had decent views. Breakfast was included in my charge and was more than adequate.

The top terrace with great views is fantastic. The staff is polite. Breakfast buffet is all right. The bed too hard. Traffic noise, but it is a part of being i the centre of Rome. If you don't like crowds of other tourists find another place to stay
