Hotel atmosphere is a bit like a youth hostel. No big choice at the breakfast. Scrambled eggs and bacon were dry. Cheap furniture and old carpets on the floor and stairwell. Big rooms but loveless and dark.

I have been satisfied with their services, as previously. This was my fourth stay at this hotel. I recommend choosing Genéve Cottage for other travellers, too. It is easily accessible, though sufficiently far from the city of Genéve.

I stayed whilst I was in Geneva and pleasantly surprised. It may look a bit fusty but it's actually very sweet inside and love the bed boards that are shaped as mountains! The staff are super hospitable and meringues greet you on your arrival!! The owner was very welcoming and it has a family feel to it with cute little areas you can relax in. The bedroom was always clean and quaint and they have nice toiletries (loved the moisturiser!) - simple but everything you need for a good night's sleep. Some of the rooms were close to the road so you if you are a light sleeper like me, I would definitely recommend ear plugs as the cars are pretty noisy even to the early hours of the morning and in the autumn, it still gets hot so you'll need a fan. Good buffet breakfast and nice little store two mins walk away where you can stock up on water and juice. Overall, good value for money and the staff and quaintness of the cottage made it a really enjoyable stay (it has a little garden at the back). Thank you!

I stayed at Geneve Cottage hotel from 22 - 29 October 2016. I occupied a room (the Bank) overlooking the Garden.
The hotel and accommodation is very homely and very hospitable. No power failures and steady power supply. I enjoyed my buffet breakfast which was referred as 'petit dejeuner'.
The staff are very friendly and exuded a family set up.

We selected this facility based on price. In the Geneva area, anything under 100 Swiss Francs is almost impossible to find. The “cottage” is located about 10 km from Geneva and about 20 minutes away by regional train. The distance from the cottage to the nearest train station is about 400 m. The cottage itself deserves to be called a "cottage" and is an eclectic mix of units, each with their own unique name. Ours was called “Chocolat” and was situated at the front of the cottage. In spite of being directly facing the busy street, the room was very quiet. The beds were comfortable. The room had obviously been cobbled together from whatever space was available; how else could one explain a 3’ thick wall between the sleeping area and the large bathroom. A small storage room for our luggage also contained part of a set of stairs that led to a sealed off area. The furniture was equally eclectic, from wicker basked storage areas to a hand-made, unpainted, cabinet to hold the TV, microwave, and small fridge. But the service was excellent and super friendly; we were given each a 2-day pass to use of the public transit in Geneva, at no charge. The train is fast and, taking it, avoids looking for a scarce (and expensive) parking spot in Geneva. I consider this about the best deal in the Geneva area. Parking was free along the side of the road in front of the hotel. I'd stay there again!
