We stayed for 3 nights in an apartment. Older lady on reception a little bit sassy, but rest of the staff nice. Well located and good value for those on a budget. Costs around $25 to get there in a taxi. Pool isn’t great and didn’t see a spa.
Good space, good for self sufficient travellers

We have been travelling for over a week now and this is our 3rd accommodation in Australia. Check in was friendly and efficient. The Reception seemed more like a tour booking office with all the brochures. If you have a heavy lugguage, you may need a bit of muscle if you are on the 2nd floor as there are only stairs. On entering the 2 bedroom flat, it seemed quiet spacious. Room 17 had a view of the pool. We appreciated the in suite laundry and kitchen and the 2 bathrooms. The room with 2 twin beds was roomy enough for 2 adults. There were ants in the kitchen which was unpleasant. When we asked about it, it was explained that they were native ants and just part of the tropics. There was a spray provided but we didn't use it as the ants were not there the next day. We accepted the explanation but it made us uncomfortable such that we would not leave our lugguages open. The location was convenient to the walking promenade and shops. We didn't see anyone using the pool but it was large enough to float around a little. As it was a self service accommodation, we needed to empty the rubbish and clean the dishes. If you are use to hotel service and want hotel service, this is not for you. Reception is open during business hours only. Although there is a number to call after hours, it's only for emergencies. If you require more toilet paper or laundry powder, there was an extra cost. Good for self sufficient travellers. The free Wi-Fi was inconsistent. Taxi to the airport was about $17.00. If needed, you could store your lugguage. Reception staff friendly and helpful. I hope this was helpful.
very handy accommodation that is good for families.

We stayed here with three other people over the weekend..with one child.
Accommodation is in a great spot. Close to attractions. Close to shopping, markets, DFO, and beach.
Fully functioning kitchen.
Great BBQ area and pool.
Safe secure undercover parking.
Found when we booked in the reception staff were not as friendly as they were on the telephone, when we had previously spoke to them. They do not accommodate early check in at all. We were told if we wanted to check in early it would be $10 per hour, which we didn't mind at all as we had a small child with us so early check in was very important to us. We had to wait til 2pm.. very late in the day when you arrive at 11am so please just take this into consideration if planning flights or drives as spending 3 hours looking around when all you want is a shower can be a big pain. ( there is lots to do in Cairns but sometimes you just want to get into your room) reception is also closed from 1200-2pm which is a bit strange for a 4 star accommodation.
The accommodation was nice and quiet. with comfy lounges. fans in all rooms and aircon. large bathrooms ( no bath). bathrooms are a bit tired and moldy in parts ( its the tropics that happens).
bedrooms lots of closet space. Beds are hideous. Really old, sagging and do not make for a very comfortable nights sleep at all. ( they do offer a fold out bed in each room so you could sleep 6 in this accommodation) Pillows are only about 5cm thick and are extremely uncomfortable. I would have to say the worst pillows I have ever slept on.. I would definitely pack your own ( if you can). on the plus side the couch was great to sleep on..really comfy.
I would go back to this accommodation if we were to travel with a family again. Very handy to have a kitchen and inside laundry ( washing machine did not work properly gets stuck before spin cycle but that it no big deal just be home when you do the washing so you can turn the knob to keep washing going).
wifi is included, however never works. once you log on you get booted again and therefore have no wifi. If you really need this in your trip then you wont really get it here.
I found for the price the accommodation was no that bad. If we go back we will look around for different accommodation, however we would return to this accommodation so long as we had a different room ( 17 great unit just terrible beds) Easy stroll to amenities all flat surfaces.
Great for families

Had a short 4 night holiday in Cairns and grabbed a 2 bedroom townhouse here. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Townhouse was spacious and well equipped in many ways- kitchen, laundry and bedrooms. Pool is a shady relief from the Cairns sun. Is about a flat 1km walk (slightly less) from town- easily do-able early or late.... but uber / cab in the heat of the day if you have kids as the walk is too long and hot in the heat. Great spot though. Strongly recommended for self contained accom in Cairns with kids.
Rude and dirty....

Classic example of a property that is not as advertised. Looks decent in ratings but completely different when you walk in. It’s old, dirty, moldy and has a unique odor. The appliances were visibly dirty on the outside. This is far from the expectation of a “four star” property. We politely left and booked a lovely four star room elsewhere and received a call from the property owner. When we explained why we left they promptly hung up on us. DON’T STAY HERE!!!
