Four star motel/hotel and worth every penny. The rooms overlook the harbour. Comfortable bed, tastefully furnished. You have a small balcony with table and chairs to sit and relax if you wish. Breakfast provided, basic continental, but satisfactory with cereals, breads, yoghurts, spreads, croissants.

Great hotel - all staff very friendly and great value for money - would higly recommend - meals you can't fault - lovely place and would stay again if I was in Gladstone - room was great and very clean - can't fault - a must stay if you in this town

We stayed one night before going to Heron Island. I would definitely stay again. Great rooms, nice and clean. Staff- happy and helpful. Restaurant- enjoyable. Pricing- affordable. Location- near the top of the hill.

I was sent to Gladstone to assist in light of the floods in Rocky. The Reef then became my unofficial home for a week, albeit a very comfortable one!
The bedroom was spacious with a very comfy bed and good mini fridge / desk facilities. The bathroom was basic but spotless and with good water pressure in the shower. There's also a small but very functional gym and a pool, and the hotel is close to local eateries and grocery stores.
My one gripe is the restaurant downstairs. They're only open until 8:30pm which was hard when I was finishing work late and so many restaurants nearby have stopped serving. The meal that I did have there was okay but nothing spectacular.
A good home away from home for a week!

What great value for your money. Lovely room in an excellent location. Facilities were clean and location to all the sights in Gladstone were really close. Bistro was located in the hotel and served really nice food with friendly staff. Would definitely recommend staying here and will go out of my way to stay here again.
