It was Clean and old style luxury. The Staff helpful and efficient. The Dining hall provides basic fare - for more ask directions for a restaurant on the beach. Auto rikshas around the corner. Open market close by.

We checked in the hotel, by seeing the name Woodlands, by 12.10 night after a long journey from Kerala.
We were told that the check out time was 11AM, so we requested to extend it upto atleast 1 O'Clock, since we were checking in at midnight and we were so tired. She never listened to us and finally they gave time till 12 noon.
She spoke to us in a very unpolite manner and rude way. They doesnt knw the meaning of Hospitality and running a hotel. She shouted at me pointing her fingers "u r shouting to a girl"!!! Whats wrong in speaking firmly to a girl?!!! A girl can do anything disrespectful, simply because its a girl???
They have charged for 24 hours and we asked for only 13 hours!!!!
Rules are good, but in hospitality industry there must be a humanitarian consideration also.
Try to appoint staff with good manners.
And adding insult to injury, no one helped us to take our luggages. They just watched and stayed there when we took our 5 piece luggage and loaded in our car.

Located in commercial area,nice clean rooms & helpful staff.
Restaurant serves good food but no bar.BF though limited justifies the tariff.
Toliteries,tea/ coffee in room.
Business trip destination as it is away from the beaches.
If your work is in Margoa this is a good place to stay, but if you are on a beach holiday, you would need a vehicle as all the beaches are 5-10 kms from the city centre where the hotel is located.

This hotel is situated in a side lane of old town of Margao; which is off the tourist network. There is a market situated a short walk away. The hotel has nothing much to speak about despite its rates being not much value for money. The rooms are spacious but not very clean. The Staff is very good; polite and helpful. My pre arrival email was replied within short time. The breakfast buffet is very frugal. The restaurant has limited menu but dishes are good. The Bar was closed at the time of our visit due to recent court judgement. We had a broken bath doorknob, which was repaired on the second day after complaint. The check in and check out was smooth. There is a problem to get transport for day to day matters ; however for Airport transfers and day tour the hotel staff helps you to find car rentals. Wifi is very weak with frequent disconnections. You stay in this hotel only if you have something to do in Margao.

This hotel is centrally located in Margao. We were a family of six adults, accommodated in three rooms. Two rooms allotted to us on the fifth floor, did not have direct access to lift. We had to get out on the IV floor and walk up a flight of steps to the fifth floor. The rooms were decent, with minimum facilities. The complimentary buffet breakfast was average. The service was not up-to-the-mark! The Wi-fi service was pathetic.Limited channels were available on TV.
Our two-day stay was otherwise comfortable, perhaps because we have travelled a lot and seen many such hotels.It would be an ideal hotel for a short stay.
