What People are saying

Toilet too smelly

Luis Mon 14/10/2017 20:51

Although this is budget hotel I would expect a not so smelly toilet.
Internet connection was almost always broken.
Breakfast was OK although not what we normally have in western countries.
The coffee was too weak, even for americans.

Simply a good brand

I booked considering Golden Tulip property but to my amazement , nothing came as a distant near to prestigious chain reputation.
Rooms are ok although with no view & pretty small.
Except front office, no one speaks english. i fail to understand why hotels can't have english speaking staff!
Breakfast was atrocious or the language problem came in handy but choice of buffet was enough to suggest that it intended ti cater local guest ONLY.

Comfortable Hotel

We stayed here for two nights, rooms where large, bright and airy and beds comfortable. Location is great as it's right in the centre. breakfast was Arabic style and tasty. The pool at the back was very small and we were asked to use the pool at the other hotel as there was already a family in this one. The pool at the other hotel was extremely dirty and we returned as we did not feel comfortable swimming in it.

2-STAR AT BEST

misscedowlingon 14/09/2017 14:30

Shower drains are blocked. Took 3 requests to get someone to fix it. He "fixed it", but upon first use the bathroom flooded again.

The room is noisy. Can hear all the cars honking their horns from the early morning and the lessons being taught at the school across the road. This is because the windows are of poor quality.

The hotel does not have an iron! A supposed 4-star does not have an iron.

The room has not been cleaned properly prior to our arrival. Lots of hair and dust around the foot of the bed.

Breakfast lacked variety. The juice was cheap, tasted more like squash.

Swimming pool was dirty despite people maintaining it in the morning. We had to go to the pool at the Mena hotel down the road where there were men on their balconies taking pictures of our family swimming.

I would expect far more from a "4-star hotel". They need to be more honest with guests or improve their standards.

Look the other way

Terrible place, lucky we where the for one night only. I know the Golden Tulip chain, this is probably the worst of the worst. We had no choice in picking something else, this was part of the group tour and we had no say but write a bad review.
there are so many flaws...it will take me forever to point them all. Funny the hotel doesn't looks bad from outside, but dirty street and surroundings, The view from the hotel is atrocious, see my pictures.
Restaurant is a disgrace, I have never seen such a filthy place. Again, lucky one night goes by fast. The bottom line, if are to lay out your own itinerary and book your own hotel, skip this all together.
