On arrival I was made to feel very welcome and show to my room which was newly decorated and well furnished in the modern style. After a quiet and comfortable night I enjoyed a continental breakfast before visiting the nearby sights of central Vienna using the convenient public transport. All in all a pleasant stay in a centrally located hotel.

I visited the Riess City Hotel this weekend and had a very pleasant stay.
I was surprised by the reviews on Trip Advisor, particularly because the hotel only opened a month ago. Clearly the reviews must have been written for the old hotel at the location - "Hotel Goldener Bär".
The location of the hotel is great, just a 10 minute stroll to the city center. Rooms are cozy and clean with modern design. The hotel does not have a resteraunt, but a community kitchen which I didn't mind. Vouchers for a fully equiped gym next door were provided for 10 euros which I preferred over little hotel gyms so sometimes get.

Nice and comfortable stay at Riess -
Tram D has a stop close by, and the hotel is at the corner of a pizza house!
The room is good with IKEA alike furniture!
Bed was comfortable - it gets cold this time!
Self-service checkin with given pin code to get room key!
No elevator - so you will need to carry your luggage upstairs!
