I have stayed at this hotel three times, once before it's renovations and two years after with my daughter during the February school holidays. It has become a bit of a tradition for us as my daughter learned to ski there.
The team at the hotel are wonderful and can't do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble and I have to give particular thanks to the lovely Martina who was always so helpful.
The location is fantastic as you are ski in and ski out in beautiful Oberlech. It can be tricky getting up to the hotel when you arrive if a large amount of people are waiting down in Lech at the cable car and you don't speak German. I will take a taxi transfer next time as there was complete total chaos at the station to get your luggage on the cable car given we came via the Arlberg Express and it was full. Coming up through the tunnels would be so much easier if that was possible.
The food is very good and the dine around gives you nice variety. It was very busy the week I was there and eating lunch on the terrace is lovely. The terrace probably has some of the best views and food in the resort - sadly it can just get packed with people and then it becomes difficult to get served or get the bill. After the first day bc of the crowds I went back to an old favourite and only ate at the Montana the rest of the week as they just have so much more staff waiting on you and bc of that the service is so much better. It's a shame - it could be so much better if the staffing levels during busy weeks was improved.
The facilities in the hotel are great. The pool and outdoor hot tub are beautifully maintained.
The Arlberg and Lech/Zurs especially are very expensive but you get what you pay for. It is one of the most beautiful resorts in the world with amazing skiing but the prices aren't for the faint at heart. Bring a thick wallet - but that isn't a criticism of the hotel. I've always felt it was priced well for Lech and its position and service. I certainly would go back again and am missing it already!

We stayed here for a week on half board and we really enjoyed our stay here. The staff couldn't be any more helpful, especially Rebecca on reception who couldn't do enough for us. The only down side is that all the restaurants are quite Austrian, they could do with a pizza restaurant or a burger place for variety as after a full day of skiing you might want something more substantial than the fine dining esque meals from the 3 restaurants in the hotel. They were good too but sometimes you just want something a bit more ordinary. The 4th restaurant is on the terrace which is great and do good BBQ food on the weekends but it finishes at 5pm. But great hotel, my only gripe is that it's a good 10 min schlurp up a hill or through a tunnel from the cable car which is not great if you are not well or you have kids who are not able to ski down and have to walk up with all their ski gear. But all in all a really nice hotel.

Perfect location ,excellent food and service. My 15th year at this Hotel and never disappoints. The Arlberg ski region is now hugely accessible with the new lift that opens up St Anton and Goldenerberg is in a great location to take advantage of this and going the opposite direction, the link to Warth. A ski in ski out hotel that while being above Lech is only a 3 minute cable car ride down to town. Back again next year. Thanks Daniella and team.

We had a wonderful Easter skiing holiday staying at the Goldener Berg hotel. The staff made us feel so welcome throughout - nothing was too much trouble. The location is perfect, with an amazing panoramic view of the mountains from the restaurants and the terrace. We stayed with the 'dine around' half board and were also impressed with the variety of menus and quality of food. In particular, the attention to healthy eating and wellness. Thanks in particular to Stephan, Rebecca, Cornelius and Florian - but the whole team were fantastic.

Second visit to Goldenerberg and this year it was even better.
Situation on the plateau overlooking Lech is unbeatable. Breakfasts on the terrace to die for and food in all four restaurants is fantastic. We loved everything about this place but the real stars are the staff - they really do go out of their way to make your stay amazing!
From the moment you check in they do everything for you from organising the luggage ( I didn't touch it from the time we left the airport at Innsbruck 'till I unpacked it), ski hire (they bring it from the hire shop to the 'Schiraum' in the hotel - same to return them), they even provide ski passes.
All the staff we encountered were lovely but special thanks to Cornelius, Ehab and Petra... they really made our holiday!
We hope to see you again next season.
