Hotel is kind of those from 70ies and 80ies yet is in good shape. Price-value ratio is very good. Service at the expected level. Stayed just for one night. Hotel is nicely located close to the city centrer.
GOOD HOTEL FOR VISITING LUGO

We stayed three nights in this Hotel. We found the hotel very well situated to explore the town of Lugo. There is car park available for a fee parking spaces are very wide I would suggest you park right in the botton as this floor is the nearest to the Reception and the lift. Most rooms have air conditioning , TV a bit outdated. Staff VERY helpful.Very close tp a supermarket, just in case you want to buy some water or Spanish goods. I would recommend this hotel and I will be back!
An Old Tired Hotel

While it can be seen that in its day (not that long ago) it was perhaps a great hotel. Unfortunately those days have long past and it is need of a serious makeover. A overwhelming smell of decay, dampness and cigarettes assails you in the large Foyer. A sense of being back in the seventies also hits you, but not in a good way. However service is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are also dated, the air conditioning barely passable, and noise from adjacent rooms quite noticeable. The beds where fairly comfortable however and compared to many hotels, the rooms were quite large. Further, the rooms were clean, kept pretty well in good condition, and did not smell. I think what sums up the hotel is the television in the room which was an old tube set that required two handsets to work ( along with a full page of instructions). The Hotel is certainly close to the centre of Lugo, and served its purpose, but would I recommend it; perhaps not.
Old World Charm

From the moment I walked into the extensive lobby I was impressed by the style of the old world charm and elegance and the helpful staff at this hotel.
The bathroom was new with the shower over the bath. Normal soap, shampoo, toothbrush etc provided.
As with every other hotel we stayed in during our Spain visit, there was no tea or coffee making facilities. There was however a safe and fridge. The tv was old style but did receive digital channels.
You can’t read in bed because if you lean against the headboard the bed slips away across the floor.
The hotel is in an excellent location – supermarket next door and five minutes from the old walled city and there are many restaurants close by.
I have read other reviews and am at a loss to know why they say this hotel is tired.
It does has normal wear and tear, but a retro theme doesn’t mean old and in need of repair.
Very Basic

It says it's a 4 star hotel, but I'm not sure where. The location is great. Very close to the old Roman wall. We were there to see people we knew, not sight see, but it was well located for anything we did.
It's obviously seen better days. It needs a real sprucing up. However, it's clean and the beds are pretty comfortable. It was really hot, however. But the staff was so attentive. Anything we needed, they got us. They don't have room service, but the desk clerk went and found us some ice. Also, one of the employees located an electric fan. I can't say enough about how nice the staff was.
The price was right. The location was good. It just reminded me a little of a tired old lady that had seen better days.
