3 Bedroom Beachfront Villa

This was a beautiful and spacious Villa with a lovely view. We stayed in Villa #8 and our biggest complaint was that the internet service did not properly work. At first, we could not get the staff to even acknowledge the possibility of the internet not working properly. When we finally got the front desk person to come to our room and witness for herself that we had entered the password correctly and that nothing was wrong with our devices, she said she would contact the guy that took care of their internet issues. We waited for several hours and never heard anything from the staff. We called the Front desk again and she said "Oh, we will have to try tomorrow because the internet guy said he had done all he could." We asked why she didn't call us back since we were sitting in the room waiting on a response. We told her it still was not working and she said that she would have the maintenance guy check on it in the morning. The next day we contacted the front desk to see when the maintenance guy was coming and she said that he was not going to come because the internet is working and we need to figure out what is wrong with our devices because there is nothing else she could do. We were extremely disappointed that the staff was so non-responsive in this matter. Other than that, this place was decent but internet has become a very basic luxury and it definitely was part of the decision making process when we picked a place to stay. We would NOT have chosen this location if we would have known that the internet service was so poor. For different reasons, each of us really needed internet connectivity (Facetime with family members, work responsibilities, and email). It would have been nice if the staff would have shown some sort of concern over this issue and because they did not, we are only giving them a rating of a 3.

3 Bedroom Beachfront Villa and Excellent Staff

My husband and I have been in San Pedro for 1 week today and have 4 more days to stay. Despite the daily rains we have had a great time here. The Villa is beautiful and lush and spacious. We like to cook on our vacations and the kitchen had everything that you need to make a great meal. Our only small complaint is the living room furniture is not too comfortable but we spoke with the owner and was assured that it would be replaced.

One of the absolute best features of The Grand Colony is the staff. Irvin (Magic) is our beach bartender and he is AMAZING!! He keeps us entertained and tells us great stories and history about the island and shares with us great places to visit and food to try. Not only this, he shared with us his personal life and made us his friend. Almira and i chatted online for days before our arrival and she is marvelous too! Almira got us some drinks to stock our kitchen which was over the top customer service.

We met the owner of the property and his wife at the beach bar and had a great time learning about the new upgrades coming to this property. We were so impressed with the vision and his care of each of us guests.

We feel so welcome on this island.

3 Bedroom Beach Front Villa

My family and I stayed in room 8 (beach front 3 bedroom on 2nd floor). This is our second time staying with grand Colony.
First off, the front desk and all around service is amazing. I emailed one week before arriving that we would be going there for our 9 year wedding anniversary with the family. When we entered our villa, the rooms all had different animals made from towels (elephants, swans, pig). They also went through the trouble of spelling out Happy Anniversary in rose pedals in the master bedroom.
The cherry on top was the cold bottle of white wine waiting for us in the kitchen with 2 wine glasses sitting in a bucket.
We had our 3 children (ages,2-8-9) and my wife's sister. The beach view is amazing and the sound of the ocean is peaceful at night.
The security guards were very attentive and you could see them actively patrolling day and night. There is a new bar that sits on the pathway between the pool and beach. The bartender gave us complimentary drinks and the kids got chocolate shakes. Whenever we wanted to use the kayaks, the guard was always ready to help drag them to the water.
We ordered room service for breakfast every morning from Pier 366 next door at Banyan Bay. For the price and convenience, it was well worth it. Also had dinner there 3 of the 5 nights that we stayed.
The villa was cleaned everyday (swept, dishes cleaned, bathrooms cleaned, beds made, clean towels).
There is a market north of the villa 30 yards around the bend from Banyan Bay. They have decent prices and we bought a couple things to keep stocked in the fridge for the kids. We highly recommend Grand Colony Villas to all our friends and family.

All around this place is beautiful and they care about their guests.

Be aware that this wonderful set of villas is under new ownership. The times have changed and they do not own up to their obligations, including working with timeshare owners. Don’t trust them. They claim no units are available yet if you look online they are offering all kinds of enticements to get new people to come. DON’T.
