Living on a reputation and failing to deliver. This is unfortunate as this could be a very special place but complacency has set in. Service is poor and the staff seem to be not trying anymore. Maybe everything is too easy

The hotel is located in the heart of the city. Ample parking and rooms are spacious. Service is very good. Room switches are cute but need a magnifying glass to understand the details mentioned above the switch. The most disappointing part of the stay is the exorbitant charges for food. A cup of tea is almost 100 rupees similar to that of a five star property. It is better to have food from nearby restaurants.

The food n service is just ok . There are so many other options to eat in cochin . Just walk in to any small seafood joint n u can get better n tastier food than this place . Not value for money . Staff are also not friendlly with tourists .

As usual Grand Hotel did not fail to provide succor for a tired traveller.the food as usual was awesome too. As were the rooms. Quite comfortable and as always clean. Check in is quite easy and this time I had booked it through tripadvisor.

Me and my family came to the restaurant, it was clean and attractive. My Father had ordered as glass of wine and then a second, then the waiter said it is more cheap to order the whole bottle instead of keep ordering glasses also that would be expensive, so my Father said fine, i'll have the bottle. The waiter said it was 1500 Rupees. And we got it and my Father drank the bottle. So after the meal, which was very nice and moreish, we got our receipt and it said that the bottle of wine was 3000 Rupees. We asked if we could see our waiter and he had left, so then we asked for the manager, but we did not get any compensation or refund.
