Very small rooms and beds, our Aussie husbands over six foot had their feet sticking out of the bed. One room had no kettle, no fan and the door to enter didn't open fully because of the bed. You had to walk in one at a time, close the door, walk around it and open again for the next person. The location is good though and a great bar next door and passterie over the road. Close to Latin quater

Lovely little hotel - was warming greeted every time we returned to the hotel and staff were always helpful and accommodating!
Facilities are basic but clean and you have everything you need really.
This hotel is a slight walk into town - the closest monument to get to os Notre Dame which was my favourite and its about a 25 minute walk.
The only slight downfall is that the walls a VERY thin and so you can hear everyone coming and going through the corridors but its not really a big issue as it is a city after all!
Would definitely recommend!

Booked two adjoining rooms for a family of five last July. The hotel is in good shape, the staff competent and attentive and it is very close to Jardin des Plantes.
Within easy reach of the metro, and with a handy supermarket 2 minutes away.
Compared to the prices offered by other hotels in that range, Grand Hotel des Gobelins appears to offer very good value for money.

This was my first time in Paris and I really enjoyed the Grand Hotel Gobelins. A good location near subway, bus routes, dining and such. Just up the block is a very well stocked grocery store. Room was small but adequate. A wonderful breakfast served at a reasonable price. The staff take pride in maintaining the property. They were also most helpful in providing directions and suggestions for seeing the city. The desk manager suggested a very simple way to get to the airport which was spot on. Lots of steps if you don't use the elevator that's part of the charm.

We spent 5 nights in the hotel. Family of 2 adults and 3 kids. I asked for 2 rooms next to each other in advance but i didn't't get. In the end it wasn't't to bad. Very nice and not big hotel .located next to a metro station. Nice small and clean rooms.
