The best hotel in Elba
Matej Uon 10/10/2017 12:18We choose this hotel for our honeymoon. The view from our room was outstanding and also we will never forget the good food at the dinner. I just have to say I was expecting a more diverse breakfast (more kinds of cheese and salami). The staff is very friendly and always helpful. I recommend this hotel in every time of year.

Nice view . . . But!
steve don 17/09/2017 10:41Firstly how to get there if you're driving. As you come out of Porto Azzura and into the one way road that goes along the coast keep an eye out for a track on the right which goes uphill. If you miss this just after it you will see Elba Residence in yellow sign. Turn hard right and right again and you are at the reception. Plenty of car parking just down the road and a pathway to the hotel.

Is extremely dated inside
Looks like a 60's block of flats from the outside
Is in need of some serious repair and maintenance- lots of things have either cable ties or duct tape holding them together. Wallpaper and paint in serious need of repair in the corridors.
We had two first floor rooms - both had ants that got into the bed - staff reacted quickly to clear and put down powder ? And it is an hotel in the countryside. But that repair and maintenance issue - if the floor tiles behind the beds had been sealed to the floor with mastic perhaps no ants?
Breakfast is poor and poor quality food and we struggled to get coffee served and never managed hot coffee.
Overall - OK ish. But not great and at £150 Per night I was expecting more.
Great hotel in Elba
Dallas Con 05/09/2017 19:03We stayed here as part of a tour, and were more than pleasantly surprised. The hotel is very nice, with a fantastic saltwater pool high up offering vistas of the deep blue water bay of Porto Azzurro. They have a great beach on the bay with elevator access. Nice international breakfast and the most polite, helpful staff I have met in a long time.
