Great hotel with amazing service but...
mjs642017on 09/11/2017 23:03This is a beautiful hotel in a spectacular city. The problem was the temperature in the rooms. We went in November and they said there was no air conditioning. Which would have been ok if you could open the windows but our room faced a very busy street that was loud until 3am. Then the trash pickup started by 6am.
I️ would stay there again but ask for a room that did not face the street.

Mark Lon 05/11/2017 12:47Looking at other reviews, I can echo the problems for disabled travellers, though having warned the hotel in advance, at no point could I ever complain about being misled. The door staff were most helpful, what is more when my mini-mobility failed the reception staff went out of their way to hire me a replacement wheelchair.
My special thanks go to Marc on the door who was always on hand to carry my wheelchair up the stair, whilst I lumbered up after him (my choice). Marc also gave excellent advice on where to purchase local wines. Our other star was Caterina, our breakfast supervisor, who at other times popped up all over the hotel; amusing and insightful conversation when not otherwise busy.
All staff were a delight, with a welcoming “Good morning/day/night” as appropriate. A true quality hotel.
Wonderful hotel in a wonderful city
Ian Hon 03/11/2017 20:23This is a hotel in the grand tradition and style. The public areas are fabulous and bedrooms beautifully appointed. The breakfasts are wonderful and served in style. More than anything the staff are warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Would visit Bologna and this hotel again in an instant.
Excellent service
clydozon 01/11/2017 09:56All our needs were efficiently attended to, including dinner recommendations and reservations. The head of housekeeping personally supervised our request for non-feather pillows. The desk saw to our every need. And the breakfast buffet was excellent.
