I enjoyed breakfast. The evening meal was not to my liking. Catered possibly not as much for British. I would return to the hotel but a better room and a double bed.. I would only do B & B. Many excellent Bars and restaurants to choose from on the hotels doorstep. The Bar/restaurant on the ground floor was excellent and so was the Staff in charge. but we asked if we could eat there in the evening instead of the restaurant and we were told no.

The best dining view ever of the lake and mountains. Clean room, great breakfast selection. I had a room with a jacuzzi in my bedroom, which was a first for me:)! Some of the barroom fittings are flimsy but overall I enjoyed my stay.

lovely position in square near the lake however food was awful , menu poor and strangely soulless for such a great position . stick to evening drinks . lunch was passable with a charcuterie board . inside looked grand however bar oddly empty for an Easter weekend

A disaster - was supposed to be a fun night out - but the food was so awful - and not cheap... the pizza came at the same time as the starters - no room on the table. Whatever I ordered was oozing in grease. Reallly really disappointing - it has such potential with a great position but it failed miserably...

We viewed on hotel.com we looked at the 4 options and went for the junoir suite for 4 nights for 2 rooms as we were traveling with my brother and sister inlaw. This was the best rooms and rooms looked good maybe 80 out of 100 in the picture. When we arrived we asked to check the room first what we got was a stinky room that was nothing like even the worst photo on their listings. To give it a 1 out of 100 would be generous. We went straight down and asked if they made a mistake as we ordered a junoir suite they said that is a junoir suite.( I must tell you its uninhabitable.) They gave ua he keys for 3 more rooms not one was anything like any of the photos shown on hotels.com. This is a scam the rooms shown i dont think exist at least at this hell hole. When i asked for a refund she suggested i go and call hotels.com i did and after 30 mins they called her and she told them no refund. I was then left to fix the mess. Hotels.com was no help at all. Finally they agreed to chargee for just 2 rooms and refund the rest. Still at 170 euro a night thats a lot too pay for their false advertising. I has to thank them for at least giving me any refund. We went around the corner and found the du lac hotel it was a true 4 star. Not a 1 star wannabee and guess what it was cheaper than the grand hotel too. So save yourself a rort and stay in hotel du lac in riva instead.
