doctimtamon 08/09/2017 23:17I didn't stay here but the spa remedial massage that I had half way along doing the TMB was easily one of the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot!! I practically sprinted up the mountains after that. The masseuse had that perfect combination of knowing exactly the right spot to release tension without making it super painful. Wonderful . This is a must do along the trek...

Khaled Aon 24/08/2017 18:50You need to have a good reason to rate this place anything less than 5 and I don't think you'll find one. A really top notch property. Location is great, the rooms are great, good service (but not very warm as in most 5 star hotels), great breakfast, great facilities, etc. The prices are also fairly reasonable for such a level of luxury. The elevators need a bit of an upgrade though.

DiogoMMon 03/08/2017 15:06The experience was great. Great installations on a typical alpine building and you are treated excellently from check in to check out. The breakfast is also excellent, i've had it with half the quality on other 5 star hotels. Gym, spa and pool make for an excellent adition to your stay. Absolutely worth it.
Its is obviously a fantastic destination, just a little bit missing to be really top
claudio bon 02/04/2017 18:30It is a great place: location at the heart of Courmayeur, at the feet of superb Mont Blanc. It's got sauna and relax area inside and outside, with hot water and a fantastic view on the mountains. You have ample spaces at the ground floor and beautiful view from the rooms.
Kitchen is delicious, but for such a high standard place attention to details must be key and rooms' state are in some cases not given the right attention, in my opinion.
Grand Old Hotel
Helen Jon 22/03/2017 17:17This is certainly a 'grand' hotel in the old style with an imposing reception area, large bar and cavernous dining room. However, we had a great stay. Our room was exceedingly comfortable with a fabulous view over the gardens towards Mont Blanc, the bar was lively, if a little too busy on the Saturday night, and the super heated outdoor pool was such a treat in a snowfall. We had taken the half board option and the food in the slightly old fashioned hotel dining room was superb both at dinner and breakfast. However, what really made this holiday was the staff. They all knew our names from the moment we arrived and were constantly but discreetly attentive at all times. They were unfailingly friendly without being intrusive and I can honestly say, it was the best hotel service I have had in a long time. My only, very slight, criticism is that in the mountains, I would like a cosy residents' lounge or bar with a fire. The Grand's bar is very big and has a lot of passing trade so we had to reserve seats for our pre-dinner drinks even as residents. It made it a fun area but not terribly relaxing.
The shuttle bus system to the ski lifts was very efficient and made for an easy skiing break.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.
