One of the best rooms I have ever had the opportunity to lodge in for work. Very spacious, beautiful view on the sea and the SALERNO coastline. Pleasantly pleased with the desk providing more than enough working space and adequate chairs as well!
Recommended to those seeking quality and comfort when visiting Salerno

Location - Very central to main Salerno train station and town centre.
Rooms- very 1970's style. Basic at very best. Shower is so so.. plus point - rooms are very large and spacious. Bed was comfortable. WI-FI was only partly working at points...
Staff- Not overly friendly, but not rude either. just didn't seem overly bothered that they had guests checking in... could use a bit more politeness,
Food - Breakfast was ok. Coffee was a bit dodgy. Didn't try the " cooked" food which consisted of eggs and bacon.. the rest was ok but overly repetitive ( cakes/croissants/ cereals). overall not too bad.
Gym/pool- the best part of the hotel. good basic gym and pool was good too for a hotel in the city.
Overall thoughts - was OK... if you are here for one or two days then it does the job. However if you are looking for an actual 4* star hotel with luxury then I probably wouldn't suggest you stay here.

Grand hotel Salerno is about the only hotel that has sea views in Salerno. Quiet a majestic hotel by Italian standards. Rooms are huge & the breakfast room is another huge room that can accommodate many guest at once. Wifi very poor except if you sitting in reception lobby , sea view rooms have great views of the coastline. The main bus station is right behind the hotel which makes traveling to amalfi coast easy . Buses get very full at various stops within the city. Chances are you will not get on. Therefore I advise it's better to take the bus at the terminal take off point as then you are guaranteed a seat. Roof top of hotel has breathtaking views. Lovely in summer.

We stayed in Salerno as part of a large group; the experience was everything you'd expect for a hotel at this price point. Rooms were a good size and clean - the sea views were fantastic; the overall experience relatively basic but perfectly adequate.
Nothing went badly; equally, nothing stood out as especially impressive or a strong reason to return. You're unlikely to be disappointed by the hotel at this price point, and you're also unlikely to rate it as a must-visit - but it's a solid starting point from which to explore the Amalfi coast.

I was there on the scientific congress.
Conferences rooms are clean and wide. Perfect view on the sea!!!!!
A lot of places to relax, you can drink coffee and chat on soft sofas. Wifi worked fine.
The dinner was delicious with good wine.
