A great classic hotel. Large, comfortable room with a huge bathroom and adequate clothing storage. Our room faced Le Brévent which avoids bright sun coming through the window in the mornings! Breakfasts outside on the deck in the garden were most pleasant. An apéro on the balcony of the Lounge allows one to relax in the afternoon and enjoy the view of Mont Blanc.
We like to sleep with our window open but we ewperienced some noise late at night from the pedestrian area below. There was no air conditioning in our room but then one stays in the Alps to enjoy fresh rather than conditioned air !

The Grand Central is a fantastic choice if you are are visiting Chamonix. Situated in the absolute center of town this stylish hotel gives you the little extra, the SPA in the basement is small but wonderful, the rooms cosy and stylish at the same time and the veranda views are impeccable. Quite affordable luxurious hotel in one of the best towns in the world. If possible, choose the Grand for your stay in Chamonix.

A great location in the middle of the pedestrian area. The street can be noisy in the evening (when the weather is good), so you may want a room on the mountain side. We suggest skipping the honeymoon suite without looking at it first - you'll see why. Breakfast was very good even though the hotel has no restaurant.

We were in the hotel at 1-4 august. The Outstanding staff - very friendly, attentive and helpfull ! We have happy memories! Very nice room (not big one) and the location itself. Nice wooden (old style) interior. Lovely pool, which was especially needed at the very hot days.
Cons:
- like many places in Chamonix, the hotel doesn't have AC...(they
offer old school ventilators, but that does not help when its really
hot.)
- No coffee facillities in the room (or free coffe machine in the lounge)
- no daily free water in a minibar (but it's 4 star hotel)
- too expensive breakfast

This was a lovely hotel and conveniently located right in the middle of town on the main street. The rooms were nice and everything was very clean. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Ask for a room with a view of Mont Blanc!
