I have had to do business in the area so tried to avoid the bad traffic in the morning. Chose the hotel based on the location, in the airport zone. I have stayed at the Crown Plaza in the new north zone on the golf course but there were no rooms available this time.
Location: Good;
Room: Clean, has all the facilities;
Service: Average. I have not even been asked if I require a non smoking room. I was given a smoking room;
Restaurants: Tried the Chinese restaurant and was not impressed. Had spicy fish among others. Not great for Chongqing standard.
Value for money: Poor. For the price you can get better hotels in Chonqing. If the price was significantly under the competition, the rating given would have been higher.

I got opportunity to stay in this hotel during my business trip. This hotel is near by the office of bossiness partner hence it was very much convenient to stay here.
The facilities and environment is very good and service is excellent. One good thing is that some veg food for Indians is available here on request. Main shopping area of Chongqing city is around 10km from here but this place is peaceful and comfortable.

Nice hotel, very clean, big rooms. Good internet connection. Restaurant offers enjoyable local and western food. Not really near anything within walking distance. You'll need to call a taxi of arrange transportation to do anything. The staff are top notch, very helpful and responsive. Looks like they have good conference facilities. This hotel has potential to be 5 stars, but they are missing some of the finer touches.

Stayed here for business for two days. It was ok and served its purpose. Nothing to rave about. Buffet breakfast was sparse at best. Wired Internet was intermittently fine, but wifi was terrible (a common feature I find in mainland Chinese hotels). That was the most frustrating part of my stay. I had some rather comical efforts at ordering room service - this was caused by a combination of translation issues and the fact the person on the other end of the line apparently didn't have the menu I had so she ended up having to come to my room to resolve the confusion. Translation issues also caused me to not get my local beer until about an hour after I had finished my meal. No one seemed to be able to understand what I wanted even it was placed with my initial order. At the end of the day not a big deal, it's just that I wanted to relax at the end of a long day, not try to explain on multiple occasions over the phone and in person that I wanted a beer.

It's OK If you go there for one or two days and for business only and if you sleep early and if you have no interests. .. no amenities. . And very far from city center. .
But chongqing is a very interesting city so you need to be in the heart of it.. this hotel won't allow you to enjoy The great city
