Great location, excellent service

We visited towards the end of October to be looked after for a warm week and we got exactly what we had hoped for. The hotel is lovely, breakfast perfect - whether you choose to have it inside or out in the sun, service is excellent, and the private beach is lovely with very well sun bed arrangements. Not only are the staff very friendly and quick but if any thing is not quite right then it was fixed immediately. Much credit to the management.
We had not been back to Ayia Napa for 25 years and the development was a shock but the Grecian Bay is at the very eastern end, past the last shop. Consequently it is beautifully quiet but within walking distance of restaurants or shops if needed.

Spent a weekend at this hotel. Quite older crowd. Pool, spa and gym all excellent. We got a room in the west wing which seemed to be a little far from dining room, enterance but not a bad room all together
Nice Hotel, a Little Expensive

We stayed at this Hotel from 16th September for 2 weeks, our check in was good and we were shown to a room in the West Wing, it was very quiet here so suited us down to the ground. Our room was spacious, and clean and well stocked with complimentary toiletries which were replaced each day, along with dressing robes and slippers. A special touch was a very welcome cold platter of meat and cheese for us as we arrived quite late. The fridge was stocked with a mini bar which was chargeable. We had a few a problems with keys, the safe and the plumbing but fortunately they were resolved quite quickly, however we had to report them to reception in person as nobody ever answered the phone.
The pool area was well kept and generally clean, with plenty of sun loungers and parasols. At this hotel they have a system where you book your sun loungers from a plan covering the pool and beach, what an excellent idea this is, if you don’t take up your sun loungers by 10.30 other guests can use them, and therefore there were always availability at any time in and around the Hotel. Daytime activities appeared to be limited to aqua-aerobics, evening entertainment was limited to one small bar which was very poorly attended, despite the hotel being fully booked public areas seemed almost deserted and lacking in any atmosphere.
We were staying on a half board basis, but this hotel offered a choice if you didn’t want dinner you could choose lunch instead. In the evening the hotel had a published dress code that Gentlemen were required to wear long trousers and closed toe shoes. As was the case in many previous hotels we’ve stayed at, staff, management and guests completely ignored it, when my husband challenged the Maitre De regarding this matter that many guest were wearing ripped and shredded jeans with flip flops and sandals, in fact one guest wore pyjama bottoms and slippers!, his comments were brushed aside and the Maitre De denied this and adopted a very surly manner. We took the same issue up with the Hotel Manager that same evening, he was a little more sympathetic but accepted the situation non the less, when asked if Gentlemen could wear smart tailored shorts, he replied no, but ladies can because they have nice legs! A comment he surely would not get away with in this country, following that comment it was also noticed that ALL the waitresses wore mini skirts. Drinks in the restaurant at both lunch and dinner were very expensive. On a positive note the food was very nice and the service was excellent.
We managed to get a late check out of our room, but we thought 60 euros was excessive.
Overall this is a very nice hotel with excellent service, good food and a really nice beach and surroundings, it just lacks character and atmosphere, and has done for at least the last 6 years, but is very appealing to a certain clientele.

A 5 Star Hotel with its own Beach

My Wife and I have stayed at The Grecian Bay Hotel 6 times and we now do not look anywhere else for Accomadation when visiting Cyprus.
The Grecian Bay Hotel has its own private Beach and it is positioned right on the Beach. Free of Charge Sun beds either around the swimming Pool or on the private Beach are allocated by the Beach Club on your first morning when picking up your Free of Charge Beach Towels. These Towels can be exchanged for clean ones at any point during the day but they must be returned to the Beach club in exchange for you room identification card on the day you are checking out.
The allocated Sunbed number is yours everyday for the duration of your holiday providing you have either placed your Towels in position or you actually laying on the bed before 10.30. After 10.30 if the beds are empty they are free for anyone to use.
If you are not happy with the allocated sunbed you can ask to be moved later in your holiday as sunbeds become available.
The Grecian Bay Hotel is approx a 15 minute walk to the centre of Ayia Napa and buses are readily available at a 1.50 Euro Flat Rate Charge.
One word of warning is that after 23.00 Bus Drivers double the fare and as you expect they get very busy.
Breakfast at the Grecian Bay Hotel is buffet style with plenty to choose from and the food and drinks are regularly replenished.
The staff are friendly and efficient in all areas of the hotel and especially Vassos who personally cooked my breakfast Omelette or a fried egg every morning while I was on my last 2 week holiday in September 2017.
I have taken Half Board and Bed & Breakfast at this hotel and with way it was excellent. If you take Half board and have an evening meal Gentlemen must ware long trousers in the restaurant.
There are many restaurants outside of the a hotel to choose from and we particularly like Sage and Abacus both of which are only a 10 to 15 minute walk away.
The Swimming pool at the hotel is particularly good with easy to us gradual steps for getting into the water. The Swimming is split into 2 sections with the second section beyond the footbridge being a little desperate.
The rooms are spacious an functional either looking directly over the sea or a side sea view or an inland view.
I particularly like the slightly cheaper side sea view rooms in the West WIng. Hear you can see Ayia Napa Harbour, The Sea and in the distance the lights in the centre of town.
New triple glazed balcony doors have been recently fitted to all side sea view rooms in the West Wing. These sliding doors when closed totally block out the sound of music that goes on into the night in the centre of AYia Napa.
My only criticism of the Hotel is that the bed lined needs upgrading and in my opinion this is a problem that I find all over the World whether I am on business or Holiday.
When checking out residents are given 25 Euros per person that can be spent on a return trip within the next year.
