The place is nice, it was 5 of us and we booked the villa. Very big and spacious, clean, shower has hot water but you have to wait a bit for it to start running. Breakfast in included and very tasty. Far from La Fortuna, the car is essential to reach the village. The hike for Cerro Chato starts right from the villa. Overall is a nice place, maybe a little bit overpriced. Credit cards accepted.

OMG - run, run as fast as you can, it is not an hotel, more like a guesthouse but with terrible service!!! I think in prison the service is better.
Now seriously, it looks like the owner had it with the hotel and gave a bunch of local clowns to run it.
We came for 5 nights (they actually sell themselves as a 5 stars resort 🤪), no cold water in the shower and when you try to call them to fix we had to wait for 48 hours... sheets old and dirty also the towels, try to ask for a capuchino or espresso or, god forbid, a scramble egg for breakfast, they have it but will charge you extra (5 stars resort, breakfast included, what a joke).
Unfortunately, the joke was on me 😡

Please be aware that if it rains, it's dangerous to get to the hotel! 2 flat tires in one day. Also, flash lights and if you staying in bungalow I recommend candles. Otherwise, place is beautiful, air is clean, views to die for. We stayed in superior room which was a villa. Clean, comfortable and big. I got engaged in that villa :) waterfall is 5 min walk down the hill and Fortuna is 7 min drive . Service was ok, people working in restaurant were very very nice and even with limited English were trying to help out to the maximum! Memorable vacation.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for 3 days this July. Upon arrival we were informed that they upgraded us to a bungalow which was beautiful and it had beautiful views of Arenal Volcano. The breakfast was included and made to order which was great. The property is HUGE and there are a lot of paths so definitely take advantage of that! The road is pretty rough to and from the resort and once its raining up there its kind of dangerous to drive anywhere, due to the absence of street lights and the road conditions. It's a pretty quiet place so if your looking for nightlife this isn't for you. But if you want to do morning excursions into nature, see the waterfall or hot springs, or just relax it's the perfect place for you.

Very clean, quite area with beautiful view of volcano.
The rooms and beds were dated. If the beds were better it would have made up for the dated rooms as all I use it for is sleeping.
If you stay in your room a lot I would recommend finding a resort instead.
The passes to the park were included but the park has been closed for months and will be for awhile longer.
When we booked the free passes were a promotional item yet the park was closed at the time of booking and visit.
As with the rest of the country they will sell you something knowing it is not going to work as promoted. I recommend asking locals before you do anything including eating.
We had breakfast here as it was included. You get pancakes or omelet, the meat was only lunch meat ham.
Processed lunch meat ham sums up there kitchen.
Dinner here is a no way. Nachos only and snacks. Do not waist your time and money on anything else.
Service and food here and in the city is like most of the area subpar and pricey for what garbage they try and give you. We had two really good meals in town in the 4 days we were in this area. The rest of the meals were so bad I was missing the gross fast food from the states.
I have never traveled and had this poor of food and service and I travel alot.
