My wife and i stayed overnight at the greenmount hotel coolangatta on sunday. We found it quiet and close to all amenties.the room was a bit dated but clean. Locked car parking was an added bonus.it was value for money. The buffet breakfast was ok but have had better

It’s one of the oldest ‘go to holiday apartment blocks,’ in Coolangatta but it still rates highly, certainly better than being often rated as three star. Rooms have everything you want. AC as well as a fan - that’s something newer blocks don’t offer, all with views, all serviced each day, again not offered at some fancier blocks and a restaurant offering bucket loads of food for breakfast and well priced. It’s close to either Coolangatta or Rainbow Bay beach and off road so noise is at a minimum. Staff friendly and helpful. Downside? You have to buy wifi or drop into nearby cafes and shops to get free connection. My room called ‘superior room’ had no cooking/micro wave’ but who wants to cook on holidays. Check though if available in other rooms. The pub test? Would I go again? Absolutely.

It has a good location. Nicely popped on the hill and close to the lookout. The pool area is a tired and dated. The rooms have been refreshed but on the cheap. There is no free wifi. Whats that all about? Hotels should never not have free wifi now! Also be aware you must check in early to get a carpark in the carpark otherwise you have to find a park on the street and that is probably hard when the beach is full. The room had a queen bed plus two singles and was actually quite roomy, with a balcony looking out to a nice view. I would recommend but you get what you pay for.

Really enjoyed my (unfortunately only) one night here last week.
Great staff. Very easy going and welcoming. Really unusual interior. Very early 80s almost an architectural gem!
Pool is lovely, spa and sauna too. Water slide at the pool a huge hit with our lads who would’ve stayed all day.
Comfy room with double and two singles for the boys. Beds need refreshing. They are that cheap hard type I’m more used to in motels. So not good on that front. A good bed is so important and yet so many places, even top dollar places really skimp on it. That said and speaking of dollars I was pleased to be paying under $110 all up. How good is that! Of course very off season!
Balcony on every room and a pool table, laundromat and ironing facilities. This would be a great spot for a family holiday next to Rainbow Bay beach and the wonderful Greenmount beach and headland.
Coolangatta never gets anything but a big A+ from me as one of the most lovely beaches and a friendly town of people that provide anything u need to feed and water hungry lads.
There was no cooking facility in the room though there’s a bar fridge but then food is essentially right around you from clubs to restaurants and snacks. The Tweed-Coolangatta surf club and a over the road and there’s breakfast for $19.99 adults and I think $9.90 for kids - buffet style. Didn’t Dax it but I’m sure it would allow u to fill up and feed kids before going out for the day very well. Also the price is good since as with most regional centres there can be seasonal gouge pricing ( or the opposite which can be super good pricing for locals and visitors so they come back - see my review of Jays on Griffith St next) all good.
We had a great time and lots of fun with the kids. You could too!

Arrived here for a great weekend away. Reception staff were nice but first night we paid $140 per night and the next 2 nights were $480 for the same room only a little dirtier. Feeling a little ripped off. Floors very slippery pool was dirty and spa was cold. Very standard room for a superior room. After a day of walking around the beaches we arrived back at the motel exhausted to find there was no parking. The man at reception so rudely told us to park elsewhere. The closest park away was around a half a kilometre away with a steep hill. We know management doesn’t care with the attitude from the front desk staff and no signage anywhere stating that there is only around 20 parking spaces for 50 odd cars. As an older couple trying to soak the beauty of the surrounds don’t waste your money here
