It took around 45 minutes from setting foot in the reception until it was our turn and we finally got keys for our 2 rooms. Success... Except, then someone else were already in our rooms and we needed to get back down to reception and sort it out. Simply unacceptable.

The resort has vacation villas to rent and are so cute! They have everything you need to function in a house. The only downfall is they are not allowed internet. The staff is very friendly and nice. We brought our dog and the hotel was very accommodating however the little shops and restaurants around were not accepting.

Premium houses are excellent and of good standard for a family of four and if you enjoy saunas you have plenty to choose from. Really good. The water park are good for kids and quite relaxing for adults. Small grocery store on the premises. Restaurants are not so good though.

I stayed at the hotel from 5 to 9 December, 2016 as a couple. We took a Comfort room with Seaview.
It was off season so the hotel was virtually empty. We did not enjoy the scenery from the room because it was cold, misty and foggy most of the time.
The hotel is far from Hamburg airport. It took us two hours by car in high traffic.
Check in was smooth. Reception staff were efficient but rather stiff and not particularly welcoming.
The room was very spacious and clean but very basic. Both the room and the bathroom had the atmosphere and amenities of an in-patient hospital room or a military facility room. The beds are very uncomfortable. We suffered from back ache after the stay.
Housekeeping staff were stiff, cold and less than friendly . We complained about one of the duvet covers which smelled of food. It took a lot of effort and argument to convince the housekeeping lady to change it.
This is the only hotel I have come across with a check-out time of 11am. We requested late check out time of 1pm instead. To our agitation we were told it would cost us Euro 30 for a 1pm check out. Considering the fact that the hotel was empty we found this to be ludicrous.
The restaurant was facing the sea and was pleasant. Buffet breakfast included good choice. Fried , scrambled and boiled eggs were offered but were always cold. Scrambled eggs particularly were hard, cold and tasteless. Dinner buffet appealed only to German guests and taste. As Moslems our choice was limited to salad and boiled vegetables( always cold ). Sometimes pasta was offered but was always cold and excessively salty.
There was a good supermarket with a bakery and coffee shop next to the hotel which was convenient. It was a blessing alternative to the restaurant food.

Drove 3 hours from Denmark for a nice family holiday - just to realize that the Entdeckerbad was closed on arrival day. Our kids wanted to go to this resort for exactly that activity. The reception was sure that we had got the information up front - but found out, that we had not by looking in the booking documents. The reception tried to do something about it and gave us more time before check out, so we could go swimming the next day. The next day we're ready for the swim at 10:00 - now realizing that the opening was not before 12!!! - because of cleaning after the party at the pool the day before!!! Thanks!!! We have 3 hours back home, now the weekend plan is nothing but trash - and 2 crying kids and a father pretty angry. The reception didn't know that the bath was not open, really bad internal communication, low professionalism - and they admit it int he pretty harsh discussion.....and returns nothing but 20% of the amount for the booking on the strict order of the Managing Boss. He or she fails 120%!!! Have that person EVER met an angry family? We pay for the food and the stay - and they left us with a very bad experince and a broken weekend. I care about my family, and they flushed that weekend down the drain! They could have done more and better in handling this situation, but they failed big time! 20% was the standard they did they said, this situation I hope is not STANDARD - and for sure I would not have been writing this on the FB-site and tripadvisor, if they had done better! ...so I say: THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU!
WE'LL NEVER SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN!!! Thanks for nothing!
