Very friendly staff

The GW Greenwood was booked for us through a tourist information centre in Delhi. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ended up staying here for 3 nights instead of 1 due to my Girlfriends illness. They were very accommodating and sympathetic to the situation.
We were however I believe the only guests in the hotel. The hotel is further away from the ‘main action’ of Khajuraho than expected but tuk tuk’s can be provided by the hotel.
I do feel the staff were pushing for tips but that may be the nature of the service.
The food was edible but the there wasn’t much range/diversity in the food (I was craving western food at this point). But all vegetables used are from their garden.
The room was spacious and comfortable however the WiFi annoyingly didn’t reach the room we stayed in and to get the a good enough signal to use I had to leave the room (booking trains and flights).
Overall- friendly and helpful staff in a nice hotel.

This hotel is a good place, bedrooms are clean, not to big and really quite. You can have hot water in the bathroom!! Breakfast and restaurant are ok, you can eat almost what you want. The staff are realy nice people, they are always here to help you, you can discuss with them ask them what you want! It was really sweet to stay with them.
Very disappointing

While this hotel offered a nice setting with a cool garden out back that's where the positives end.
The hotel was deserted. Our room was very basic, the bed was too short for our legs and the AC was so loud we couldn't sleep with it on.
The WiFi didn't work in our room and there was no complimentary water.
The breakfast was actually pretty good but the restaurant was so hot it was hard to enjoy. Not to mention the dirty food-stained table cloths.
We may have overlooked some of the above, had the hotel manager been remotely interested in us / helpful. Instead he was aloof, and we had to push really hard just to get a late checkout. This involved going around him and contacting our travel agent. Given we had a midnight train to catch we would have expected a slightly more helpful approach, especially given we were the only guests in the hotel!
Some of the workers were nice and friendly so they should be noted.
Loved Khajuraho, but definitely do not recommend staying at this hotel!
Lovely hotel, desperate for tips

Beautiful scenery, good location outside of town. Got bicycles for one day or took us 1 hour to walk. Room was big, air con was temperamental.
The food was cooked fresh with veg from their garden! However took 1hr 15mins to come. They did warn us and we were OK with it. We were the only guests in the entire hotel and the staff were attentive however they were obviously pushing for tips which made us feel uncomfortable with one waiter telling us that previous guests have tipped him 1300 rupees before which made us think he was hoping we could match it.
Included Breakfast was shocking, considering the price. Only hard bread and tea/coffee. Asked for an omelette which he did give us, but not great in comparison to other similar ranged hotels.
Peaceful stay

This hotel is just at the right distances from all the sightseeing and transport stations. The staff is helpful and the rooms are clean and well managed. Total value for money hotel. The view from the windows is so scenic. Greenery all around.
